I am a public school teacher in Brooklyn. In our school, students learn the Korean language and culture under the foreign language curriculum.I took 30 students on a field trip to Queens Korean town, and we had lunch here at Sodam.Their food and services were fantastic! We are truly grateful for your interest and support in our school and community! We can't wait to visit again!!Thank you so much! From: Vista

Very friendly staff. Would return. They mixed the order by accident and offered to remake the dish. I would return.

We got the soondubu, spicy pork with rice skillet, and the 10 piece wings (marinated and soy and garlic sauce). Would highly recommend this spot if you’re craving something warm and spicy!

Sodam is solid. They start you off with a cup of tea (barley I think) bring out the banchan, each of which tastes really flavorful, fresh and crunchy (japchae, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, bean sprouts, and broccoli with I think a black sesame dressing). The cheese ddueokbokki skillet with kimchi rice is so good and flavorful. Has just enough undertones of spice, isn’t that acidic and is well seasoned. And they politely accommodate dietary restrictions.Overall dining aesthetic is very casual, some solo diners and others with large groups of friends/family. It’s usually pretty easy to get seated.Pricing wise I find it to be a touch on the pricier side especially if you want a quick lunch/dinner and are dining alone (as is everything else in the area). But I still think it’s worth it depending on what you get. The cheese ddeokbokki skillet can easily serve 3 people.

First of all the service was ? great, very friendly staff and chill environmentThe food is as great over all. Cold noodle was just right, fry chicken was juicy, not very crunchy due the the coated sauce but still tasted very good.Secret skillet, was great for people who can’t take ?️

We got the kimchi fried rice with tteokboki and it complemented each other well. The sauce was really good and since it was cooked in a pot, the bottom is the best part. This was my second time here and, again, it was fantastic. The service was also wonderful and the servers were attentive. The side dishes were also alright and I Would definitely recommend eating here!

Our family shared the Tteokbokki, Squid with Vegetables, Dumplings with spicy salad, chicken wings, and French fries. The food was delicious and spicy - but not too spicy. Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and bright. I'm looking forward to returning and trying new dishes.

I came here with some friends for lunch. The service was great. The worker got us situated quickly and the food came out fast too. We ordered:Kimchi fried rice with rice cake 9/10This was a bit spicy but not unbearable. The cheese plus fried rice was super good. I would definitely recommend if you can handle a little heat. The rice cakes were super soft. Kimchi fried rice with steamed egg 10/10I'm usually not a fan of steamed egg but this dish surprised me. The egg was super fluffy and flavorful. They had bits of corn inside with gave the egg a little sweetness.Soy garlic and marinated fried chicken 7/10The soy garlic wings tasted like normal Korean fried chicken. The interesting sauce was the marinated ones. This was a sweet sauce that reminded me of the Chinese rib sauce. I would recommend if you want fried chicken but not the typical soy garlic sauceOverall I would recommend coming here to share a meal with friends or family.

This place seems to be popping. My friend and I stopped by last summer and they were so busy with the wait time and the food prep time they told us it would take over an hour to get food. So we left but wanted to try again so we stopped by recently on a weekday at lunch and it was much more empty. I highly recommend the kimchi corn cheese and the spicy toppoki skillet - was more than enough for the 2 of us. I'll definitely be back to try their other dishes!

My favorite Korean bunsik restaurant. They have everything that you crave from ramen to korean fried chicken to fried rice. This place never disappoints and their food always tastes amazing. Definitely recommend this place when you are looking for korean food.

If you're craving Korean food this is the go- to spot to satisfy your cravings!!! We usually order take out -here the wings and kimchi fries!! Another raining day we were craving the kimchi fries so we decided to dine in. The staff is super friendly and helpful!! We sat down and decided what other items we wanted to order. I liked they had a buzzer switch on the table where you click and the server will come to your table!! I ordered the kimchi fries, kimchi fried rice, and 20 piece of mild crispy garlic wings. Our food came to the table starting off with the fried rice and 3 piece of banchan. The banchan was disappointing - we were 3 people that was the size for a child to eat by itself!! The cumber was not hitting!! The fish cake banchan was hard... However, the was great specially the kimchi fried rice topped with fried egg. Then the server brought another dish which was corn and cheese which we didn't order... our server came and put it on the house.! I enjoyed our typical go to dish the kimchi fries nice and fresh !! Our last dish came in the 20 piece wings!! The guy messed up our order half of the wings was marinated with sauce the other half wasn't. When we asked him why is it like that .. he kept insisting that we ordered it that way- We Did Not. we just let this slide because his English is not that good and we didn't want him get in trouble for messing our order Again.
