Taipan is a staple in the area and has great bread. I usually avoid here as I usually experience terrible service with really rude staff.I had a gift card so I came again and the bread was fantastic. I also got a large HK milk tea. The large is pretty small and the milk tea tasted terrible. Not sure what happened there.Overall it's worth giving it a shot as it's a Flushing staple, but I personally avoid here if I can. There's many other great bakeries in the area that I would much rather go too.

Very good authentic HK bakery. Good HK style bo luo bao that’s NOT like a melon pan.

I only stopped here quickly as I really wanted a sesame ball so I dont have much to say about the place in general. It seemed to have a good range of bakery items and it all looked delicious, unfortunately they seem to only take cash which was a pain foe my tourist self. The service was nothing special, it's a typical Chinese owned place so it's more of a homely attitude than a professional one. However, the sesame ball was one of the best I had, it was extremely well priced and it was massive yet it was still evenly filled out with the red bean paste. I would come here for another sesame ball if I ever had cash on me.

The egg yolk cake I bought in the morning was already moldy and hairy when I ate it in the evening. The clerk also said that it was freshly made that day. How long does it take for it to become moldy to this extent? It's disgusting.

The best and the busiest Chinatown bakery for a reason! My favorite is the egg white custard! Everything else is delicious too!

Pineapple bun is my favorite from this bakery. The texture of the bun is so good and very traditional Cantonese flavor that not another bakery in Flushing can achieve..not Maxin, not FayDa, just none other... sorry! Also wanna mention that they have hot food items too that's worth a try.

The sandwich I bought was great but the boba wasn’t so good. I would only come here for bread or sandwiches. The staffs were nice

My second time here in flushing, NY and I wanted to get some Chinese bakery to take home and I yelped and this bakery was recommended. Right when you walk in, you go and grab a tray and tongs to grab the pastries with. Pastries all look so fresh and delicious. Next, if you want to order something else like egg tarts, the employees will help and grab those for you. Service is really quick and easy. And you just pay at the end at the cashier station. Bakery is organized and clean. Highly recommend coming here if you are in the mood for pastries. I ordered hot dog bun, pineapple bun, coconut cream cake and egg tarts and they were all delicious.
