味道让人想起老家I got a few breakfast items along with wonton soup and they were delicious. No frills, clean and friendly. Seems like a busy place since lot of the items were sold out.It might be hard for anyone who can’t speak Chinese to communicate but if you want to try anything here are some translations of what I got. You can maybe show the staff the Chinese translations:扁肉 = wonton soup豆浆 = soy milk菜盒子 = pan fried vegetable bun芋头糕 = deep fried taro cake蒸小肉包 = small steamed pork buns

I went to buy takeout but didn't look at it. When I came back, I realized that the fried dough sticks had been fried as hard as iron and were being sold. I guess I wouldn't dare to sell them if I wanted to dine in. It's a scam.

好好吃饭

It’s a store with very good prices and good portions.

This is a small, no-frills mom and pop's restaurant located right at the popular Kissena Blvd/Holly Av bus stop and specializes in Fujianese (abbreviated FJ) food. If you've got bills to pay and trying to make that dollar stretch at the end of the month, this is the place to go for a cheap meal. Back when I was a broke college student, I was introduced to FJ food when I learned that a plate of peanut butter "stirred noodles" and a bowl of tiny "flat meat" wontons were good for the stomach and good for the wallet. That actually took place at a different restaurant years ago but since then, I've experienced a lot of FJ food (and picked up some of the dialect while I was at it, too) despite not being FJ myself. This place also offer those signature dishes. However, these days I rarely come here for those. I'm often here for their delectable breakfast selection and as for lunch/dinner, I would always get something NOT on their posted menu: oxtail noodle soup. The beef broth is so hearty with pieces of napa cabbage, celery, and cilantro and it comes with your choice of thick or thin noodles. It's my go-to winter comfort food aside from pho. Unfortunately, they don't always maintain consistency in the quality of the noodle soup because sometimes there would be fewer pieces of oxtails or the soup would be overly greasy or the meat would taste old, leathery and rough like jerky but then there are also days when it would be remarkably good so for me, it's a gamble I'm willing to take. (The pictures of the noodles are from different days - you can tell by the contrast in the amount of oxtail, soup, vegetables, and noodles). My breakfast favorites are the fried taro cake (I'm not crazy about fried foods but this hits the spot) and the small steamed pork buns (bun is so fluffy and meat is juicy even when left at room temp for several hours!!) The tea egg is mid so I don't usually get it. 4 stars for flavor, affordable prices, and convenience; could've been a 5 if they were able to maintain consistency. Bring cash and someone to translate (if you don't speak Chinese).

Very friendly. Authentic flavors. A lot of food choices. They serve a lot of customers everyday. For those who gave 1 star just because hardworking, first-generation immigrant small business owners are not fluent in English, you are simply entitled and lacking empathy. And this place does have a bilingual menu now. Fried dough stick and a sweet soy milk for $3. Ate it on the picnic tables outside the Hindu Center on the corner. Super satisfied.

I’ve come here 4 times really hungry, there’s no food here only one plain steamed bun left and one donut stick. There’s no menu that’s easy to find either, really difficult to understand what they sell here, they don’t cater to non-Chinese customers. I think only Chinese speaking customers would know what to order. I only see a freezer in the back with frozen dumplings. I don’t understand this restaurant and why there’s never any food every time I come here. It’s empty. I would buy some and become daily customer if I could see what they have but there’s literally no cooked food I’ve never seen any dish in the store. They don’t explain the menu to English speaking customers. I’m confused.
