Absolutely delicious! Amazing teas, sweets, and savoury treats. Best bao you'll find in the area, and all at great prices too!

I love the sweet custard bun. Cheap, fresh, so soft and not too sweet. A small coffee & a bun will run you less than $4, love this spot. Service has always been kind.

Only good thing was the tea, and the coconut bun was okay but the donut was extremely dry and tasted old. The coconut bun tasted like it has been sitting there too. I thought that it was a good bakery because of the high ratings but I tasted lower rating chinese bakeries with way better quality. I find that the smaller hidden away bakeries are better.

Great Cantonese Bakery! The price is reasonable. The service has been good so far for all my visits.

So impressed at the variety of options that Fay da offers. I felt like i was starring at the display cases for a while because I couldn't make a decision. Everything looked so good. The prices were fair and the bakery was clean and organized. I got a cheesecake, baked pork buns, steamed pork bun and egg custard steamed bun. I can't wait to return to forest hills!

I ordered a chestnuts cake online, paid with credit card. When I went to Forest HIll store to pick up, a casher had my cake, asked me for pick up number, but I didn't know anything about it. She said if you don't have the number you can't take the cake unless you pay for it. So I started to looking for my credit card statement. When I showed her $26 was paid to FayDa 2days ago, she still said you have to pay for this cake. I get upset, started yelling. Then she asked my cell phone number and started packing the cake. Before She give me the cake she wanted me to sign a pick up sheet. My name, my phone number, my credit card inf, the amount was paid were all there on that piece of paper. while she was keep telling me to pay for this cake, she knew very well the cake was already paid.

Ordered the fresh mango cake for $28. There were only a limited types of cakes. I felt the cake was average in taste. Could hardly taste the mango. It looked better than it actually was.

Good basic place to catch a quick bite and when you are on the go. Has pastries and bread and tea. Good location too because it is by the train station.

Great cakes!Slight renovation/update in space. Roomier now by the checkout and the hot curry pastries are behind the counter. Mango cake is still the best!

I really love traditional Chinese pastries, and am so glad Fayda opened in FH. It's very popular among non-Chinese customers as well, I was really impressed. The food is good and prices are very reasonable and the recent renovation makes it even better visually. Unfortunately, there are a number of homeless individuals permanently sitting in the bakery taking up seats. It's kind of gross. I wish NYC is not this sad. Too many homeless people at Fayda, too often.

If you've been to Fay Da before.. everything is pretty much the same at all locations. I don't usually get food for myself at FD but my mom needed something quick at the time so we bought a few baos and sandwiches. The spicy chicken sandwich is really filling. For the price.. especially nowadays, everything is so expensive, the sandwiches are really affordable and will keep you full for hrs at less than $4! Though it is pretty spicy.. they should make a regular one so my mom could try it. I do not like the egg tarts at Fay Da. Doesn't have that nice yellow color, probably uses less egg yolks.. The warm baos in the steamer do not taste good and are so overpriced. I'd rather go to Chinatown and buy buns there that I can freeze for later.

The customer service at this location is bad. The lady that works the register in the morning/weekdays has an attitude! She makes me feel uncomfortable and unappreciated and it seems like she’s more attentive to her own kind. Please Fayda ask your employees to be more attentive and respectful to your consumers.
