i’ve been going through different and most items of their menu for a while now. the quality of the food, the taste, flavor and all that is really really good. these guys really put the effort and respect what cooking, cuisine and food is. my family has tried their food, my friends have, everybody loves it. i would easily recommend this to anyone. its not average, the food is rather delicious if you need to know.

This place will always be my favorite reason for coming into New York. I get the chicken katsudon every time. Its my favorite comfort dish and I will always go out of my way to get a meal from here!

Ten Zen has been my go-to sushi delivery option since I moved to Forest Hills in 2020 and they never disappoint! Their sushi is wonderful quality for the lunch prices and they always make sure to pack with care. I will gladly continue providing my business hopefully for years to come!

Excellent service! We went for dinner & the food was very good. My teenagers thought everything tasted fresh & they asked to come back! The presentation of the food was beautiful too. We will be back!

Do not order from here. Smelt so fishy and bad it was not edible. They gave no forks or chopsticks. My soda was missing. 30$ of wasted money.

I normally do pick-up from here when I have a sushi craving... I get in my steps and get great yummy fresh seafood as my reward. Friendly on the phone, polite and friendly when you walk-in. If you're in the Rego Park area and up for a 20-30min walk this is the place to go for Japanese (sushi/sashimi) food. I highly recommend it. The food is great they have lots of other Asian dishes and the prices are reasonable. Give it a try! They don't have seating I don't think it's a sit down place (not sure if that's due to covid) or take out only.

Loved the former version of this place since JHS (formerly known as Tokyo Teriyaki). It was a literal hole in the wall next to the 112th precinct run by an old couple. When they retired, the new owners apprenticed with them to learn the recipes and they've certainly mastered a few. They opened under a new name/new space and while it certainly isn't the exact same, they've kept a few things consistent: - amazing ginger dressing - great fried chicken rolls (never really loved the raw fish rolls from this place) - solid chicken teriyaki sandwiches. As much as I intend to, I never really deviate from these items because they're the best (in my opinion). I recommend!

This place has filled a hole in my heart. I just have to walk down the street for my oyakodon and i love it.

Very disappointed The chef doesn't wear a mask I ordered 2 hours in advance on Grubhub and they didn't have my order nor did they have spicy tuna left so I had to get something else. I also ordered side salad and it was just lettuce no dressing. Sushi wasn't bad but definitely not worth my time.

i am a chef with 17 years experience in NYC, I order to go a box, and was surprised. food is nasty, rice dry, sushi rolls disgusting and not fresh.wold not recommend to all, to spend 20$ for lunch and throw it out

Their chef don’t wear masks and if order at night they might serve you leftovers dry rice.

UPDATE 1/2022..I won't change my 5 stars because when I wrote my previous review it was honest. Unfortunately, they no longer serve the vegan options I mentioned previously. They have tofu but they don't do the vegan chicken or other items. Even though this is upsetting I don't think because they changed the menu it would justify for me to leave a bad review. Nothing wrong with the place. Food is good. But since I do not eat meat or fish this was upsetting to find out. I can get tofu in other locations for much cheaper than what I would get here. The price was worth it when they had the other options and the bowl. Unfortunately, I would no longer be coming here as my options aren't available and paying the price that it is for some tofu and rice isn't worth it to me. Hopefully one day they will reconsider their options for vegetarian and vegan meals.(2 years ago)I love this place. I've been there almost a dozen times now. All cashier's have been great and polite. They have great customer service skills.Food wise...hmm well just great. I'm vegetarian and they have awesome vegetarian options. Not just tofu but they have vegetarian chicken and beef so this goes way further then just garlic tofu you find mushy from a Chinese restaurant. They are not cheap on serving size either so it is great for the prices. You are getting your money's worth. If you order rolls like sushi or avocado etc they make it when you order so you know it hasn't been sitting around for God knows how long. When I ordered the avocado roll it was pure green and fresh. Delicious.Usually order the bowl. Price depends if it's lunch or dinner. Dinner a couple of bucks more but still worth with all the ingredients you choose.Just great in all aspects but the fact there is affordable delicious vegetarian options available is what has me hooked and that it's a different taste and change to just the basic tofu or vegetarian options other restaurants have. I love vegetables but man only so much salad a girl can eat. So the fact I have so much more options and variety is so awesome to me. Plus there are so many combinations you can make with the bowl you won't get tired of eating the same thing over and over.
