Love the grocery pickup. They need to put benches back in the store! The electric carts are never charged unless you get there at the crack of dawn. If they would put the benches back handicapped people could rest for a bit and might not need the electric carts. The store is too big to not have benches!

When you schedule a pickup order, make sure you bring your own bags. BF and I are both sick but needed groceries so we did a carside-to-go order. Around $250 worth of food. The website did not advise us to bring our own bags, so just like with any other carside order we expected some bags to hold our food. NOPE. They told us they no longer provide bags (even at a price) and loaded up food one by one into the back seat of our car, which resulted in beef juice dripping onto the floor. I'm not very happy with Walmart, a multi-billion dollar company who couldn't at least advise us to bring our own bags. Lazy and unprofessional

Came in today at 10 something with my kids and as I'm cashing out, me and my husband heard Rachel McWillson say to someone else that "nobody's paying attention to anything that's going on" mind you trying to chase my kids around and get everything in bags. She was down right rude, and accused me of stealing & apparently does this VERY often. She also has no customers service skills. Had she been nicer about it, it wouldn't been a whole issue.

At the beginning of September, I went to Walmart in Fredonia NY to get my oil changed while I grocery shopped. This is the only time I've ever allowed anyone to do an oil change in my 2017 Subaru Forester who wasn't valvoline or the dealership I bought it from. I was trying to save time because I had a very busy weekend. I drove a week and a half to work with a loose oil plug because someone forgot to tighten it. I ran all the oil out of my engine by the time I realized it. I didn't assume my drain plug was missing, but loose, because I had been driving it for over a week and a half and the service manager told me it wasn't likely it fell out if it took this long, so they suggested I put 5 qt of oil back into it and then bring it to them to get the plug tightened down. When I get there my car is alerting me I have no oil once again. They discover my drain plug has been lost and they will buy me a new one, do a new oil change, etc. They failed to check if the engine had any oil running through it and I drove 20 minutes home to figure out my engine was seizing and I almost got into an accident trying to get my car to a safe place. I had to get my 3 year old vehicle towed on a flat bed to my dealership to get a diagnostic to find out I needed to get the engine completely replaced. Mind you, my car is my favorite possession, so I was completely devastated. Walmart eventually paid for the engine after arguing with the service manager and having to drive my car back and forth 3 times to them but they wouldn't not pay for a rental car they said if I wanted a rental car I had to pay for it and they would reimburse me. I had to put a $1000 down payment on the engine repairs up front or they wouldn't order the engine while I was waiting for the check from Walmart to cover the repairs so I didn't have extra money or time to be paying and picking up a rental car during covid. After the repairs, my car is still not the same. The computer in the car got reset because they had to detach the battery, so now there are miscellaneous issues like my remote start not working, my passenger side power window not rolling down, and more. So now I have to take it to a subaru mechanic to be able to fix it because my dealership couldnt fix that. I'm not happy with the service that was provided at Walmart auto service and the hassle all this has caused. I will no longer be patronizing this establishment with my business whether that be for my vehicle or my grocery needs and while that may not be much since Walmart has many customers, hopefully this review will be seen by people and encourage them not to take their vehicle here and go through what I went through.

Unfortunately, we have Walmart. I am 99.9% dissatisfied with customer service here. From asking employees where I can find an item and a great reply of "I don't know". I had a time where I was at sub way and a Walmart employee cut in front of me and said "I am On my lunch break" in the past. Some of the finer moments. Tonight was special though. I went to customer service tonight and brought a box of diapers and two bags of diapers and told the Mary Ann that I would like to exchange these. She replies , well you need to go get the diapers for me to do the exchange. No problem. I ask how much it comes to. She replies about 49 something plus tax I reply can I have an exact number. She sd $50. I sd is that an exact she replies plus tax, I ask can I please just have an exact number, annoyed she pulls out a calculator and tells me $49.67. As I am walking away she says and plus tax. I give up and walk back to get diapers. I grab a box of newborn about 39.00 and I grab a can of formula , about $35.00. Being eight months pregnant, I walk back and place the items on the counter. Mary Ann then decides to tell me of their diaper policy. This policy entails that you can only exchange diapers for diapers. Out of breath and my back and legs being sore I can admit I was snarky and sd never mind and grabbed the diapers and walked out. I called the manager who was the "store manager" at the time mark, and explained what had happened. mark acted oblivious to how customer service is. Mark told me they go through training in regards to customer service. Mark told me he is "sorry I feel that way" which is my way of saying "I don't give a crap about you or your experience". I asked mark about the diaper policy. He said this has been a policy for a few years. Eventually I gave up probing him and telling him about poor customer service experience because I am extremely mad at this point and his only response is "well what would you like me to do" (what I would have liked was him to apologize(meaningfully) and tell me he would complete the exchange despite the manager's personal policy or heck even say "I'm sorry for any inconvenience, you are right Mary Ann should have explained our diaper policy to you")I contacted Walmart head quarters as there is no such policy found on line nor is there anything written that store managers can adjust their return policies online either. Essentially, Don, from Walmart customer service sitting in a cubical somewhere says the same thing. I asked why are their policy's written online if the store does not have to follow them. Essentially, Walmart is like Whose Line is it anyways where the policy's are made up and don't matter. I would have had a completely different experience if I was forewarned about the policy before I walked all the way back to the diapers. Annoying, sure, but would I have walked out as frustrated as I am. No. Obviously Walmart will not fail in any way shape or form with out my business but I am done spending money here. Perhaps it was silly for me to get as upset as I am however it has been years and years of poor customer service that I have dealt with because they monopolize areas such as ours which is fairly impoverished and small business and diverse business don't stand a chance here sadly. I am not angry about the policy the manager chooses to make for their store, I am mad that this was relayed to me before I walked all the way in the back and mad when I asked three times for an exact price and Mary Ann failed to give me an exact answer despite asking for a an exact answer. I would guess you say it's the straw that broke the camels back . Hello amazon and trips to target.

I've absolutely had enough with this! The tire center is a complete rip off.... scam..... first of all it is very rarely that you can go in and replace one tire they have their staff push customers into buying tires they don't need I went in to get your tires for my wife's car and the associate said he'd have to check the back tires And make sure they don't need to be replaced my back tires are practically brand new and he said they were close otherwise it have to buy all four tires he argued but finally agreed to the two tires I originally wanted. Fast forward to the next morning my wife and I got up to go somewhere and the tire was flat obviously The bead didn't set so I called Walmart and told them the tire was flat and I pretty much got told it was my problem so to all of you out there that don't know much about vehicles or cars or tires do not go there is a rip-off

This Walmart location is pretty clean but the reason for my rating is because I find it so hard to believe that they hire so many people yet it's always hard to find someone in the electronics area. I just came here for a gps since mine broke during my trip. They don't have much of a selection at this location and I only had 3 to choose from which was disappointing.

I like this Wal mart! Its clean for the most part and people are very nice. Only reason why I don't give 5 stars is the deli service is SOOOO slow. Normally I got to Tuscany's but if I'm in a hurry and don't want to stop anywhere I go to Wal mart. There is always one person and they move at a snails pace. Its hard to get mad though because they are very nice.

After a weekend in beautiful Westfield, I go to leave and I realized I had almost two flat tires. I ended up having a nail in one and a screw in the other. Of course everything in Westfield is close on a Sunday small town, very annoying. So I called Dunn tire in Fredonia and they too were closed on Sundays. I called Walmart hoping and praying that they were open, and they were! I spoke with Karen in the tire department, and she was wonderful. She told me not to worry about it, I didn't have to make appointment and to just come in and she will assess my vehicle and that if it just needs to be plugged it's about $10 for each. So I filled both my tires with air and off I went. When I arrived Karen got me right in and explained everything that was going on with my tires. I was able to get one plug and they filled up the other one so that I can make it home and she advised me to get a brand new tire after I got home. I appreciate that I'm not trying to rip me off and telling me I needed to buy a tire right then from them. I also appreciate them getting me right in and working on my car right when I got there. You guys were heaven sent that day. I love that you are open on Sundays because there a lot of small towns around Fredonia that aren't. Thank you again Karen and crew I appreciate all your help.

This walmart is one of my favorites with its layout and how clean it is. Just be careful shopping here because if you get cut on something they wont cover your medical expenses but this probably goes for any wal mart.

Me and the partner normally come to this Walmart when we just want to take a drive out some where from Angola. Our go to Walmart is the Hamburg location one but going to the Ferdonia location is great because we get to drive for a little bit and then do some shopping at Walmart. What I can gather, the town is really a college town so the Walmart caters to them. This Walmart also I feel a lot more items then the Hamburg location. I personally like this Walmart better, but its just a far drive out from Angola so when we shop here, its really only for special occasions. I will have to echo what Tom D said. I never noticed that at this location until I read Tom's review. When you ask them where a item is, they will walk you to the item or at least general area where the item is. Unlike most places, they will tell you what isle its on. I also think the taxes is also less out there then it is at the Hamburg Walmart which makes it a good time when shopping there. Other then that, this would have to be my go to Walmart if I'm not at the Hamburg location.

OK, so why the Yelping? It's nothing but another cookie cutter all the same Walmart? Well, not exactly. This one has the same goods and products for sale, the same set up, the same marketing and organization, but it's somewhat different than the others. Being a more rural "Grape Belt" area store you'll find the patrons as well as the staff less pushy, more sincerely polite and friendly. Also, unlike so many others, this store appears to be clean both inside and outside around the parking lot. Another nice thing is that on pleasant days they have independent outside vendors with food concessions selling tacos, homemade breads and treats generally forbidden to be sold on Walmart premises at other locations. Also little fund drives by the local high school cheerleaders, 4H Clubs, Volunteer Fire Department & etc. which to me adds to the atmosphere of community spirit. You might say that this Walmart instead of just seemingly taking local dollars out of the area actually strives to be an active part of the community. So for this one, I'm saying it's A-OK.

As a traveler - I've encountered my share of Walmarts and I'd like to say this one - in the Fredonia/Dunkirk area - it's by far the cleanest most organized in all I have had to shop at. Though each is similar - this one jumps out as the best! I know many of you might think of Walmart as the corporate monster running small business out of town, but it's just a master marketer and at the moment seems to be doing the right thing. The Fredonia/Dunkirk Walmart also does something else fairly well - and that's training it's employees to take the shopper to the area in question instead of pointing them in a direction as if they are an inconvenience, which is the type of treatment you get elsewhere! A fair warning - keep your children under control in the toy section as they might be told to stop riding bikes, bouncing balls or otherwise destroying the merchandise! I've also observed staff having Safety Meetings - which being a safety professional myself always makes me smile. Job well done Fredonia/Dunkirk Walmart associates!
