WHAT AN ABSOLUTE GEM! This place is definitely my new favorite place yet. I stumbled upon this restaurant randomly and I'm so glad that i did. The food is 10/10 - seasoned to perfection, tender and delicious jerk chicken. The Rasta pasta was very tasty and the jerk shrimp omg, super yummy. rice was soft and tasty and the salad was a perfect addition to the dish. The service was 10/10 - the gentlemen was helpful and told us to go online to look at the menu and he ended up being the chef as well, this place is made to order so if you're in a rush I'd place my order before hand, if not enjoy the Freeport views and other restaurants and then come back for your food. Thank you sir for the delicious food!!! The ambiance is 5/10 - It is your typical hole in the wall shack type of location, no real ambiance to it, food is too go. They didn't offer any outdoor seating, so no real ambiance besides an open kitchen that looks really well kept and clean. If you're ever in Freeport - nautical mile. I would highly recommend this place!! You won't be disappointed.

We had an engagement party last weekend and had some Italian food catered. We ordered a tray of jerk chicken _and it was a hit....Everyone loved it.!!!!! I I ordered it mild, which was perfect. It was very moist and had just enough spice. I highly recommend jerk on the water(

Came here with a group on Labor Day weekend and we all placed our own separate orders I placed an order for a single jerk chicken wrap at 3:39pm on a Saturday and didn’t get my food until 4:35pm. It seemed as if they ran out of wraps as I saw another cook step out to pick up a new batch of wraps. I was never provided an update or insight for the long delay. Please give notice to customers on if something is low on inventory so we can reconsider or change the order.Additionally, please let customers know if add-ons are extra charges. For my case, the cashier inquired if I wanted cheese on my wrap but I was never informed that it was an additional add-on cost.

I’m quite annoyed to be honest. Probably won’t ever come back here. This is my second time here and I’ve been sitting here waiting for my food for over 30 minutes. I got up & asked to see what the actual he|| could be taking so long - they tell me they prioritize take out orders. So they were making takeout orders first instead making the order for the customer who was sitting in the HEAT waiting for their food?!?!?!Never ever again. I absolutely think that’s disrespectful to my time and inconsiderate of me as a customer.As a Black woman, I prioritize supporting Black businesses but this is unacceptable.

A MUST TRY! I took my girlfriend there for a date and I ordered the steamed fish. It was one of the best steamed fishes I have ever tried in my life. My girlfriend ordered the oxtail and she said it was flavorful with rice and peas and a salad she could not stop talking about. Thank you to the manager Diane, an amazing person who offered immaculate service. 5 STARS ALL AROUND you will not be disappointed. Thank you again! - Kyle & Indiara

Yesterday, 8/18/2023 was my first experience at JOTW, which was highly recommended by one of my patients a few weeks ago. I couldn't remember the name of the place, but I remember her saying " it's the only jerk place on the strip, so you can't miss it". So I went with that... and she couldn't have more correct. We always hear of people raving about restaurants only to be disappointed, so I intentionally ordered a small meal. I ordered the jerk shrimp whole wheat taco and jerk chicken whole wheat taco, and a side of fries. CRAZY AMAZING! I can't say enough how delicious the food is. You've gotta try it. The place was clean and the owner was very friendly, which for me, that alone will make me return. For me, it's all about customer service. (Thank you Diane).

The food was amazing. We ordered four distinct and separate dishes and they were all superb and cooked to perfection. It is refreshing to experience authentic Caribbean cuisine locally and not have to travel to the boroughs to get a good plate of food! The food was delicious, with decent portion sizes. It was cooked to perfection and worth the wait as the food was FRESH and not just sitting in a cooker for hours.The owner Matt introduced himself and was very welcoming and genuinely wanted to ensure we enjoyed our meal. We sat outside near the water and would definitely recommend it to others as we will definitely eat there again! Try it you won't be disappointed!

Came here last Sunday with my mom after a long day out. We ordered the Jerk Salmon and the Brown stew fish. They said the wait would be 25 minutes, but we wended up waiting a good 45 minutes for our food and it was so expensive. $73 for 2 meals that we could get for no more than $40 at Tropical Jerk or Golden Crest, or that I could make myself honestly. The waiting area outside is really small and if there's a crowd, you're not getting a seat. We had to take our food back home even though we got there before the crowd but because the wait was long we lost a seat. The saving grace was that the food was pretty good. I think the stew fish was better than the salmon. Also the chef was nice as he'd seen we'd be waiting for a long time and rushed our food out. The staff was kind all in all. If it weren't for the wait and the price though I'd give the place a higher rating.

This past Sunday night we decided to try a New Jamaican Take-out Spot with outside seating & music.We were about to order when we noticed the Chef “Perspiring”, to the point where it was dripping down his face. We promptly Left!Is there NO central air?Word to the owner, Not a good look, Especially for a new restaurant. This is No way to treat your employees, “Don’t be a Jerk”!
