A bit salty. Ask for less sauce

If you have about 3 1/2 hours to spare and wait for a bowl to be made this is the spot.

After trying the different food options at Roosevelt Field Mall and not wanting to eat at Chick-fil-A or Wendy's for the tenth time, I wanted to try out Island Poke. I've only had poke at places like Pokeworks as I am usually a bit more cautious around raw fish, but I wanted to give it a try. I felt like the service could've been a little faster, but it was at the mall during lunch hours so I understand They have the option for ordering 2 proteins or 3 proteins as part of your bowl. Proteins include ahi tuna, salmon, spicy salmon/tuna, and more, but I usually get the ahi tuna and spicy salmon. I usually add edamame, hijiki seaweed, cilantro, corn, cucumber and jalapeno as toppings, adding the spicy mayo or classic shoyu sauce, and finishing off with shredded nori or sesame seeds for the crunch. Overall, felt like it was one of the better places to eat in the mall. Felt comparable to Pokeworks, but might rate that over Island Poke just by the slightest of margins.

igot the large poke bowl but no difference with regular size. There has two piece of tuna was outside the bowl, the staff just throw away but no supply the new piece for my bowl. I required to take out and the staff didnt cover the box completely.

I've been here twice, and I think their poke is not bad. I did think it was weird that the first time I came, the spicy tuna was in chunks rather than mashed up and the second time, it was mashed up like how it is done at most places. Although the food is good and the order was correct, I did think the service was quite slow. I was especially annoyed the second time because I ordered ahead online the second time and I was in a time crunch. Once I arrived on time, I saw my order and waited at the side marked for pickup, but the employees brushed me off when they finished off other orders and told me to wait at the other side to order. They would not wait for me to say I had the pick up order sitting right to the side on the table. I stood at the order line behind other people because that seemed to be the only way to get their attention. Once they finally got to me almost 10 minutes later, they seemed annoyed that I was not waiting on the other side for the pick up and they would need to check it. There was basically no point in ordering ahead of time. I might come here again but not if I need and expect the food to be ready on time.

Was craving poke and decided to try Island Poke after reading through all of the reviews in the area. After what seemed to be one of the best options, my two poke bowls arrived with three types of meat - tuna, salmon, and spicy salmon. Sadly, I was disappointed with the Kani salad and the spicy salmon. The kani did not taste like others I have on a regular basis and it worried me that it may be "off." The spicy salmon was so mayonnaise-y that I could not even find the fish in it. About an hour after finishing what I could (I could not get myself to eat the spicy salmon), my stomach began to grumble and I started feeling nauseous. Hours later, I know that something I had was bad. So very disappointed in my choice. I hope no one else gets sick from the fish here!

I normally don't eat mall food but on this particular day, I was in a rush and I was kind of craving poke so I decided to try this place out. I should've just waited to eat later on in the day because this was the worst poke I've had in my life. The workers were super slow first of all, and as soon as I opened my food, I saw a piece of hair sticking out. And no, before you ask, it was not my hair. I thought it was just a small piece but as soon as I tried to get it out , it was a long asssss piece of hair intertwined in the rice, which is all the way on the bottom of the bowl. I didn't even mix all the toppings at this point. I was so grossed out. I feel sick even thinking about it. Like how do you not notice such a long piece of hair when preparing the food. I ate the poke on the other side of the bowl and it was not good. The brown rice was hard and the fish didn't taste fresh . I got the tuna and salmon and the texture was very stringy. They also barely put any sauce so the whole thing was just bland af. Never again.

I've always loved the poke here and I've received good enough customer service. However today, I received the worst customer service experienced in my life. I waited in line with 4 other customers ahead of me, also waiting, while the one employee ignored us all, kept his head down, and worked on online orders. After waiting 15 minutes with no "I'll be right with you" I got off the line along with the customers behind me. High key disrespectful.

Tasted off, not well prepared. I eat poke bowls all the time and this one just isn’t right. Not mixed well or presented. Dumped a much of fake crab meat in my bowl. Nice service just a bad menu and quality

My favorite poke place! And I have been to quite a few including several in the city and this place beats all of them. The price is good the ingredients are fresh generous amount if you are in the area and you like poke you should definitely try this place, and you can thank me later ‍ Hawaiian poke bowl is my favorite! They are located in side the Roosevelt Field mall at the food court. They also serve Ramen and rice bowls.

Yesterday was my first time visiting Island Poke in Roosevelt Mall. I ordered the Salmon Bowl and it was really good. The server was so delicate in his preparation and I commend him for his care. I plan to visit tomorrow to try another selection.

I love poke bowls and decided to try the umami miso salmon without sesame seeds. It was so good and would definitely recommend this. It was quick service too.

I'll keep this review short and sweet!! Island poke definitely delivers fresh poke and serious island vibes. This newly opened spot is clean, spacious, and has tables and counters for indoor dining although it doesn't look like they offer it now due to Covid. Customers have the option of choosing a preset or customizing a bowl. I would recommend building your own, bc you can choose 2 proteins or 3, depending on whether you select the regular or large size (large size just has the extra protein but comes in the same size serving bowl). All the presets only have 1 protein.Mix-ins are generous and include your usual expected toppings like onion crunch, Kani salad, masago, seaweed salad. I thought the portions were fair given the price of $11 for the small bowl.Everything tasted fresh and delicious and as a bonus, our orders were ready at lightning speed!

Would I come back again: YeahFood:Poke bowl with tuna and shrimp - 3/5 - Its a good option for the food court. The fish was fairly fresh tasting and it was pretty standard in taste compared to others I’ve had.Service: 3/5 - Average serviceAmbiance: 3/5 - In the mall food court so very casual.

My favorite poke place so far compared to the ones I've tried in queens and the city. I like that their toppings are seasoned and come together in the bowl nicely although I was slightly disappointed by the size of the avocado. I love the shoyu sauce (it's my favorite poke sauce). I definitely recommend it's healthy and quick too. I come here every time I eat at the mall.
