Pescado a lo Macho is a very very special dish. Unique and incredibly delicious. If you’re a seafood person you need to try it.

Unfortunately I would not recommend this place. It's a small place so I thought I'd check it out. Usually tiny little places tend to please with very authentic food at good prices since the over head isn't as high. This place was not clean and the food wasn't great. There are a lot of really great peruvian restaurants out there but this one doesn't compete. Be prepared because they only have a few tables. Their prices were definitely not competitive with other similar establishments. I don't mind paying a lot of money for good food but my bill was over $100 with tip for lunch for mostly veggies. I walked out feeling like I just got robbed at a tourist trap. I figured people must be using some sort of coupon or deal when they go in there because I can't imagine that most people are paying $100 for a basic takeout lunch. FYI- I didn't eat any meat. Again, $100 no problem for a delicious meal. For example $22.00 for a large side of sliced potato. It wasn't even a whole potato. Just a few slices and I usually get this peruvian dish as a side with my lunch and have never in my life paid even half of that. I ordered it but I assumed it must have been special or very large. Nope, it was typical except cold and not tasty. In many peruvian places you can pay that much for the whole lunch special and this was just one side. Also when I got my bill I told them that the bill didn't match the menu and they told me that they hadn't updated their menus in a long time and these are the new prices. I said ok and I figured it's a one and done anyway. Btw- the prices and menu you see in the photos are NOT the menu or prices I got. Maybe they have a local menu and another? Also, I called before I came because they're sign says Machu Picchu restaurant and pizzeria. Which I thought was strange but figured they served both. When I called the girl acted like I was crazy and laughed about the pizzeria thing. I got there and they have a 2 huge signs that say Machu Picchu pizzeria on them. ‍

I ordered a galea first, it was reheated, they didn't make it fresh, the fish was horrible as if it had been reheated several times. They did not wash the onion with salt to remove the harshness and make it feel soft and delicious to eat. I love Peruvian food but I didn't like how they gave me the order. The girls are nice but I would have liked it better if they had asked me if I wanted it warmed up

I ordered rice cooked in cilantro sauce with 1/4 roast chicken and salad. but what I have received is not a 1/4 of roasted chicken. just a boiled leg and rice and half a chopped onion. For $17 dollars. Just a leg of chicken, not even roasted.

The order did not come complete, we ordered the family combo 3 that comes with a whole chicken, salchipapas, mixed salad, rice and beansThe rice, beans and salchipapas did not come, they sent me raw potatoes. We tried to complain to the restaurant and they said that it was a doordash error because they did not change the menu in the app, haha but well they charged us more than $80

2 platters of pollo a la brasa were ordered over the phone by a family member (leg/thigh). When I got there to pick it up I opened the box and found out one of them was a breast. Not only that but it was poorly packed, semi closed and chicken was dried. Probably cooked earlier in the day and re-heated. I haven’t tried this restaurant in 5 years and would NOT try it again or recommend. We, the customers deserve good quality of food. Still left a tip out of curtesy because my family order from there.
