12" pie with toppings was hot, fresh and delicious if not a bit pricey in my opinion but probably worth it. Pick up was fast and organized, patio looks inviting when weather gets a little warmer.

After God created the heavens and earth, separated the seas and skies, gathered the water and grew the vegetation he decided to rest on the seventh day. What the authors of the Bible failed to document was that on that day, an overwhelming hunger manifested in him, one that could not be satisfied with only his writings BUT needed to also tickle the taste buds. So, "The Great" Umbertos Of Glen Cove was created to take care of everyone's hunger here on earth and we are all that much better and happy for it. Thru time "The Great" Umbertos decided to create NY's BEST BRICK OVEN PIZZA (meat lover) and BUFFALO CALAMARI and the rest as they say is history. Umbertos manages the appetite of my wife and mine each and every Friday evening and most definitely do an extraordinary job (to say the least) and my wife and I couldn't be happier. The owners along with their Umbertos staff are "The Tops" as Mel Tormae would say. Umbertos is to culinary arts what Glen is to carpentry -"A TRUE VISIONARY!"- So in conclusion, don't walk BUT run to Umbertos because you don't want them, you NEED them for all your belly filling needs.xoxoxoxoxoxo Jen & Dan Bailey

Great Food, Great Staff! I know that some folks compare the Glen Cove location unfavorably to the New Hyde Park one, but having never been to the latter I have no reason to complain. The food is great, in flavor and portion, and this is a town with no shortage of Italian restaurants! There are plenty of options for pescatarians and vegetarians, and in fact the menu is pretty extensive in general. I broke with my usual pattern recently and tried a special - branzino with a shrimp sauce, and it was excellent. The wine selection has something for every taste and price range. Staff is both friendly and helpful, and they know about the menu. Ambience could be a drop more cozy. I'm not complaining, but just a little better lighting would be nice. Oh, and parking is a potential issue on busy nights.... But if you have to park up on the street and walk back to your car, you might appreciate it after a filling dinner. Try it for yourself!

Nice to have a good pizza alternative to Forest Pizza (I don't feel anywhere else in Glen Cove is quite on par though some come close).

Best pizza around, had pizza from one of the "best pizzarias in Brooklyn" yesterday and this pizza blew it away. Giovanni runs a world class pizzaria.

I was very excited coming here because I had heard this Umberto's had a wood fired oven, which made me curious since this would be a first for any of the Umberto's as far as I knew. Unfortunately, I was told they shut down that oven a few weeks ago because it was constantly malfunctioning. They need to update their website and their menus because they still feature the wood fired oven. Since I made the trek up here (anyone that has come to Glen Cove knows it is a trek, not just a simple trip), I figured I would try their slices because Umberto's seems to have had a checkered history in opening new locations. My understanding is that they have tried franchised as well as owned locations, with most of the franchises being shut down because of quality issues. Based on Sicilian, I am wondering if this is a franchise because everything seems off with the slice. The sauce is too salty, the dough and crust taste and texture seem different and the cheese seems a little lower quality than the original NHP location, where their Sicilian has always been my go-to. Strangely enough, the best slice for me is the grandma, which has never been the case. The regular slice is just ok. I leave very confused.

Outstanding food and service! I loved the Umbertos in New Hyde Park, but I think this one is better!

Food was phenomenal. The service was spot on. The owner Giovanni helped us out and was a very gracious host. The chicken parm I had was one of the best I've ever had. I would strongly recommend Umbertos for the either a quick bite, or a sit down dinner. Be sure to try the espresso!

Great food, great atmosphere. Take out always on point, sit down always perfection. Finally quality pizza in a town with dozens of average to forgettable pizzeras. Umbertos of NHP quality without the 30 minute drive. Owner and front of house always make you feel at home.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian cheese option. Gluten free pasta and pizza
