“I recently visited Lucky Penguin for the first time and had the pleasure of trying their matcha crepe, while my friend opted for the Ferrero Rocher rolled ice cream. Let me tell you, the matcha crepe was a revelation - it's easily one of the best I've ever had. Special thanks to the young man working there who recommended it to me; he really knows his stuff! The customer service was outstanding as well; they even gave me extra sauce topping for free. Yum! Lucky Penguin is a must-visit for dessert lovers.“

“This was my first time, I just so happened to be sitting in my car across the street. I decided to try it. I had tomato bisque and a byo bowl. The soup was the absolute best. I'm serious. I should have bought more. The bowl was so good. I ate every drop of everything. I also got the strawberry basil lemonade. I'd never had this combination before, but it was so good. Not too sweet, not too sour. Just right in the middle. It was refreshing. I will definitely be back again. My bowl had chicken. No fat on the grilled chicken. I hate the fat and gristle. It was perfect. Not dry. And the sauce, it was a perfect addition.“

The server that my bro and I met, Crystal, was super friendly and welcoming.We ordered different smoothies for ourselves, our parents, and my fiancé: Oreo; plain vanilla (not on the menu, so this was a special request); s'mores; mocha frappe. All so delicious...and healthy! What was interesting to learn is that none of the smoothies are made with milk, only water and the protein powder!The consistency of the smoothies was perfect: not very thick, not watery. Crystal told us that they are meant to be meal replacements and should therefore keep one full for 2-3 hours. That was definitely the case with me - got our smoothies early afternoon, and I personally did not get my appetite back until dinner time!I enjoyed my smoothie, but I came here with the intention of getting a protein power bowl (had been craving one from the night before). So it was a bit disappointing to learn the bowls were not available because they had been sold out.Great place for a healthy treat, but my advice would be to come earlier versus before closing time, so you have a wider selection available!“

I don't normally get fruit teas b/c of how synthetic they taste, but the mango green tea + strawberry green tea are both amazing. “The best selection of Italian-style ices. Not your typical supermarket or pizza place Italian ice. High quality product at fairly steep prices. Still, the best place to get ices in the area. There are better places for ices in Queens and Brooklyn, but this is the best place I’ve found on Long Island.“

“It’s a decent healthy spot where you can get burritos, wraps, burgers, smoothies, and bowls. I had the salmon with stir fry vegetables and basmati rice, but it had a lot of sauce, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu and a bit spicy which is not what I usually go for - I will say it was flavorful though. There’s some indoor and outdoor seating.Kid-friendliness: Went with my kids, it’s family/kid-friendly. No separate menu for them however. But I share my meals with them, so either way it works.“

Some healthy juice places don't quite have their mixture proportions down pact, and their juice doesn't taste good, but you drink it anyway, because you know it's healthy for you. Well this is not the case at Juice for Life. You can tell they took the time to make sure their recipes were not only healthy but great tasting as well. “Green Life is my go to for healthy meals and prepared meal service…a huge time-saver for this busy mom! Whether you dine in or take out, the food is fresh and delicious. My kids love the Cauliflower pizza and my winter favorite is their chicken and rice soup. I am currently on their juice cleanse, the juices are tasty. I am already feeling more energized. I needed a winter reset after sickness hit our house. This is just what I needed! Their green base tastes healthy and I could taste the kale which I liked about. I would love to try other flavor as well. They also have a reward and you get $3 off when you collect 100 points!“
