I finally made it to the Hillside Avenue location of Jackson Diner. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was fairly busy with a steady stream of takeout customers and some indoor diners. We were seated at a booth in the well-spaced modern dining room. There are several booths along with many tables. The staff who took our orders were very friendly, explaining to us what some of the items were and what they came with. We ordered a huge feast and everything that came was absolutely delicious. Here's what we had along with some of my notes: Appetizers: Samosa (There was surprisingly spice with heat in the samosa. Well made!) Vegetable Bhajjia (plentiful with main notes of chickpeas) Keema Nan with Raita (just like Turkish flatbread, thin, crispy and meaty) Entrees: Chicken LaJawab (complex with gingery notes and some notable sourness and DARK meat!) Chicken Korma (the best dish we had. Very creamy and satisfying with rice) Saag Paneer (strongest notes were the spinach, paneer was plentiful and taste was spot on) On a side note, we frequently order takeout from Jackson Diner. For a first time indoor dining experience, I can highly recommend coming here for groups of any size. We were three, but I can see this restaurant accommodating larger groups, although with a mandatory service fee. Our experience confirmed that eating here is just as good as taking out.

The butter chicken was soooo good today. My advice is order in the day time not towards closing because the quality does decrease in the evening which is strange. I had a previous bad experience with butter chicken in the evening with them. But pictured here is butter chicken. Not pictured here is the one plain naan I had. Also very good. Scrumptious. Having the leftovers tomorrow with the rice.

Jackson Diner never disappoints.. the Malai Chicken was juicy, the Lamb Chops were cooked Medium Rare like I like it. The Chili Paneer was AMAZING (highly recommend). And the Chicken Makhni with Garlic Naan is a staple..

I've been visiting this restaurant for years and they never disappoint. The food is delicious. Great neighborhood spot. Definitely recommend if you're in search of quality Indian food.

We are regular customers. This time on Jan 16th everything went wrong. Medium spicy was no spice. Complimentary onions were brown and really smelled bad. We made some rice at home that was the only thing that tasted right. I was really frustrated.

I ordered take out from here 1/2/22- and it was the most horrible food I've ever had. Spoiled food - my husband threw up afterwards. We ordered a lot of takeout - and the food was spoiled. I called to tell them this , and the restaurant admitted that there usual chef was not cooking. - so why would you serve the food?? Horrible and avoid at all costs!

Pleasantly surprised and impressed with the level and depth of flavor in their dishes. The mango Lasse was thick and filling. We ordered an appetizer and a couple of entrees all of which looked tiny, but fills you up quickly. The chicken biryani had a good amount of chicken hiding in the rice and the Lamb kebabs came out on a sizzling plate and had a wonderful aroma.
