so in general it was disappointing ,, the folks were very nice and service fine ,,, i've been going to taj for years but it seems that there are new owners and a new chef ,, or at least a new chef ,, i thought the food was very mediocre ,, the chicken tikka was tough , the presentation. just ok ,, the muligatawny was not that flavorful ,, the saag also disappointing in terms of presentation , flavor and consistency ,, hopefully they can improve moving forward but definitely not on par with the previous ownership / chef situation
I am an Indian-American, born and raised and am honestly pretty harsh when it comes to Indian food. This place not only met expectations, it exceeded them and then some. Please get the Apollo chicken. It is so authentic and just honestly really well done. Everything, even the chicken Rogan Josh was incredibly flavorful. I will be coming back here many more times. Additionally, our waiter was one of the nicest people I have had the honor of meeting in the Albany area

Ordered food earlier too when they had a different management didn’t like the food back then but with the new management everything looks great and some street style Indian food is our favorite. Looks like it’s a family business where the couple take care of most of the stuff.Vegetarian options: Variety of options for vegetarian.Parking: Very convenientKid-friendliness: Many options especially bagari shrimp.

I ordered the Chana masala, okra masala, salad, and veggie samosa. It took 45 mins to get my order and the food was terrible, literally no taste. Save yourself the money and time and don’t go here if you are looking for flavorful Indian cuisine.

Deliciously seasoned food, I had their signature chicken dish. The naan was seasoned and cooked amazingly. The staff was amazingly pleasant. The atmosphere was nicely decorated, nice soft music, and I love the counter tops at the bar. I’m coming back. Hope you’ll give them a try too!
