Although I made a reservation for a party of 6, they did not set the table until my arrival. I ordered a churrasco steak but that isn't what I got, and the steak was over spiced. The chimchurri sauce wasn't good. The sangria wasn't flavorful. The plantains with meat was good and the one waitress serving everyone worked hard. The others in my party didn't care for quality of food as well, they need to do better.

I recommend the tostones con guac, the breaded chicken is very good in my opinion, and the mojito de maracuyá (passion fruit) is a really good drink.

Mi Casa is a Colombian cuisine restaurant that recently moved to a larger space adjacent to the Great Neck LIRR station. The food is very tasty, and the service is dependable. However, I have downgraded my rating to 2 stars as the takeout portion is much smaller than the portion served dining-in. My most recent takeout order contained two flavorful empanadas (beef and chicken) and shrimp in creamy garlic sauce (served with arepa and white rice). The shrimp entree contained only about five or six medium size shrimp, which was much less than the same dish served at the establishment. For $ 27.95, the portion size should be consistent. When I went back and spoke to the manager (Jared), I was told that due to the cost of (aluminum) containers, the takeout portion is less. Needless to say, they have lost a customer.

I ordered form this place and the food was fantastic. I recommend it. Here is warning, so not order their soups. I orders a beef rib soup and it was only broth with some vegetables, a large soup with absolutely no beef rib whatsoever. According to them it's like that. Never heard of something like this before.

Great space near the LIRR. Delicious Colombian cooking at affordable prices. The service could be friendlier but the food makes up for it.
Very nice restaurant. Spacious and not too loud/packed. Authentic experience all around including food, decor and music. Food tastes like home cooking. Ox tail is to die for and generous portion, a lot of places skimp on ox tails but not here! Nice decor with nod to the culture. Service is attentive and friendly. Nice bar when you walk in and they don't skimp on drinks. This is a "real" restaurant, not trying to be trendy, and not one of those pop up ones that go away in a year. Location is convenient, literally right at Great Neck train station. Parking is a bit tricky as they don't have their parking lot. Overall highly recommend.

Lol….look at the picture of what I received and tell me this is a joke. This place is a rip off I ordered Yuca fries which was 10 dollars and change. I got 6 pieces of Yuca. So I called back nicely to confirm if this was mistake and the lady on the phone told me they take their time to craft their yuca fires for the “quantity”. Customer service should be rated 0 stars because I know it doesn’t take time to craft yuca fries when all they are doing is slicing and frying them. I don’t mind paying the 10 dollars for yuca because it’s not the price that is the problem. It’s the quantity that I got for the price I paid that doesn’t match. The fries were ok but not worth what I paid.

Absolutely delicious! Delightfully surprised by how flavorful every single dish was. The steak was delicious, guacamole- amazing, frijoles exceptional, and everything in between was amazing.
