Service is friendly and this spot is great for an outing for good food. I came here a while ago, but I remember their sweet potato fries were DELICIOUS. Sleek, clean, and they have great food options that cater all. Get the fries! Prices were fair. They know what they're doing here, and I will be back soon!!

My friend and I decided to check out this restaurant one Friday late afternoon, and while the food was exceptional, the overall experience left much to be desired.Located within walking distance from public transportation, the absence of parking at the front was notable. Instead of a warm welcome, a “We Support Israel” sign greeted us, setting an unexpected political tone. The lack of a traditional greeting from the waitress, who promptly handed us menus and divided our table, felt impersonal.Nevertheless, the culinary journey began promisingly with a delightful appetizer of hummus with mushrooms, followed by a savory Syrian kebab as the main course. The molten chocolate cake served for dessert was a sweet conclusion to the meal. Accompanying our selections were a ruby red grapefruit cosmopolitan and a fresh fruit margarita, both of which were refreshing. However, the service shortcomings became apparent as we progressed through the evening. The absence of cloth napkins and the provision of only one paper napkin each were disappointing, considering the price paid. Additionally, the need for specificity in ordering, such as requesting ice water with ice, highlighted a lack of attention to detail.Attempting to capture the waitress’ (Stella’s) attention proved challenging, as she was often engrossed in conversations with other staff members or acquaintances. Despite periodic check-ins, the overall level of attentiveness fell short.Upon receiving the bill, we were surprised by an unexpected price increase for the main course, attributed to a post-4 p.m. billing policy. While the waitress kindly adjusted the price, this discrepancy should have been clearly indicated on the menu.In conclusion, despite the restaurant’s culinary prowess, the overall dining experience was marred by subpar service and unexpected pricing policies. While I would rate the food and drinks highly, I urge the establishment to prioritize improving its service standards to ensure a more enjoyable dining experience for future patrons.Parking: The place is close to public transportation; there is parking available across the bridge in the shopping area.

Wonderful cafe with exceptionally friendly staff and delicious food! Visited mid-afternoon on a Saturday and most tables were taken but the facility didn't feel crowded. (Had made a reservation with Open Table as we figured it might get busy mid afternoon). The Falafel on Pita was OUTSTANDING! And, the drinks were also quite good. Our server was gracious and we were allowed to sit and chat for quite a long while after we had finished our meals. From stem to stern this is a fantastic little gem in downtown Great Neck. If you're in the area, pop in... you won't be disappointed. :-)

Excellent Dinner at Rothchilds. Food is always on point - including Ahi Tuna main course on this night and French Onion Soup for starter. Solid drinks as well. Restaurant was full on a Friday evening but not overly loud. We sat in front by the window which is sometimes a bad spot as you tend to get overlooked and forgotten by the waitstaff on occasion. However, on this night we were well looked after and it was nice to have a little distance from the other diners as everyone appears to be getting sick this winter. Bottom line- another excellent meal at Rothchilds!
