My colleague and I had lunch at this restaurant. To start, the tea was not complementary; charged $5 (ridiculous). When I received the bill and handed the waiter my debit card, I was told that cash payment is preferred due to Gov. Hochul legislation. If the debit card is in fact used, an additional 3.5% surcharge would be added. Since I had no cash, I agreed to the 3.5% surcharge. The waiter later told me that he could not accept the debit card because the transaction was under $30. I reiterated that I had no cash. I was later informed to use the bank next door to withdraw cash. Totally unacceptable!! I reluctantly withdrew cash and was subsequently charged a convenience fee at the bank. Food was mediocre; not worth the price tag. If you do not want to get ripped off…don’t go to this restaurant.

Terrible service. I was rudely told that they would not serve us because 2 out of our party of 4 were not hungry and only wanted a soup. We were the only customers at the time, so it's not even like we were taking a table away from other customers.

so glad that governor Hochul is cracking down on businesses that have hidden credit card fees like Hunan Village 2 I will never return there because they charge me the fee without notifying me

Terrible food and service. The manager tried to gaslight us, we ordered Braised Tofu Vegetarian. Well when it arrived the dish looked like tofu a la king and for sure was don in chicken broth. The manager argued with us about what braised meant. We sent it back in exchange for fried tofu. Well that was worse. Spongy, wet tofu with very crisp, almost raw broccoli. Then to top it off the overworked hyper server chased us up the street thinking we did not leave a tip, when in fact we paid at the register and included 20%! The worst chinese in Westchester County. Never again.

We ordered takeout having been by in the area many, many times. The eggplant was excellent, but the rustic chicken was unremarkable. Everything else really was good and we look forward to going again!

Took out food last night for the first time in a few years as past experiences here were never good and we figured we would give it another opportunity. Unfortunately the food was very poor and over priced with an unpleasant odor. The wonton soup at four dollars was worth the price but just average. The large order of spare ribs was $26 and was not fresh and very poor. The chicken and broccoli dinner at $20 was fairly priced but very plain and the sauce was extremely greasy and disgusting and inedible and went in the garbage. The dinner was $58 which included an up charge if 4% for the use of a debit card that was probably 1%. I wonder if this place ever tries their own food to see if it's worthy of charging the public? I suppose we will wait another five years and try it again as by then we will forget his bad the food is here?

Horrible. Ordered for first time through their website for delivery. Was called few minutes after to let me know a meal I purchased was $10.00 more than advertised on their website, totalling my order to over $100.00. I was expecting really tasty food for their pricing. Good portion chicken & brocolli but I had to spit out a few chicken pieces as they were not chewable. Their food taste no better than the cheaper, smaller shops around. In fact, I've had better at Little Kitchen in Mamaroneck and many other places. They got my extra $10.00 but will not see another penny. Price not worth the quality.

I rate this 2 on value but 4 on taste. This is your typical American Chinese takeout but at a slightly higher end scale due to the location and clientele. Everything is well done and I personally never received anything that didn't taste fresh. A great example of what Human Village II is about is their make your "own" entre which is very Dominick's of Arthur Ave like . This is where you pick your meat, up to three veggies, type of sauce, and how you want it cooked and this starts at $18 but can climb upwards of $32. They have delicious perfectly cooked non greasy egg rolls but they are $3 each. They offer higher end fares like the filet mignon with Chinese broccoli but at $30. Their Pad Thai while not authentic is one of my favorite Pad Thais of all time. Their Chow Fun with roast pork is just as good as anything in Chinatown but $17. The soup dumplings are great but are $12 and in comparison something like this in Chinatown would be $5. Again, all the food here is very good for the type of restaurant it is, but the prices are simply very high for basically takeout Chinese when for $30+ an plate you can actually go out and get an actual upscale meal. You could argue that $30 an entre isn't bad but the size of each entre really isn't family style.

We have been to this restaurant many, many times and have also ordered out. Food is always excellent and also the service is amazing, friendly and helpful. Can't imagine anyone leaving a negative comment!

Used to go here, but they now charge five dollars for a small pot of tea ( which probably costs them them no more than $.25) and there is no sign saying they charge extra for using a credit card, which I only found out after I paid.My family, friends and I will return to our regular restaurant, Bamboo Garden where tea is free, no extra cost for using a card, food is great and parking is easier.

When looking for a reliable consistent good Chinese restaurant in south Westchester, Hunan Village II always delivers. We especially enjoy having the option of being able to choose ones own particular preferences / style / method of entrée preparation. - First you choose your meat / fish / poultry / vegetarian preference: - choose your sauce and method - steamed or sauteed. - choose your veggies - choose white or brown rice I like spicy, thus, I often choose the Szechuan style sauce, or Ginger Scallion with peppers. Whilst Hubs prefers mild Americanized versions, i.e. brown sauce. Add Bok Choy, Broccoli, mushrooms, asparagus, etc. In the end we're happy and satisfied. Now, isn't that what really matters after all?! - **Take-out is great** **Good efficient service with a smile** **Peace on Earth**

food here is very good and my family and i have been loyal customers for over ten years. They recently implemented a credit card fee, for a restaurant that is extremely expensive to begin with. Not sure how many people carry that much cash on them for dinner, so the fee is inevitable. On top of that, the last time i ordered they charged my card WAY more money than they should've and now I'm fighting to get my money back. SUPER disappointing.

We ordered for the first time and got it delivered. Good timing. Packaged with care. All orders and condiments were there. Love the little extras too. Thank you. All the dishes were fresh and delicious!
