I stopped in here not realizing it was a gluten-free bakery. I'm so glad, because had I known I probably wouldn't have bothered. If I didn't know, I wouldn't have known. Everything was delicious. My favorite were the coconut macaroons.

Delicious gluten-free and dairy-free baked goods. I am gluten-free so I frequently order from BTW Bakery. I don't tell my guests that it's gluten-free until after they've eaten it because they always rave about how delicious it is and would never know the difference!

I love By the Way Bakery and I’ve been to their other locations and I have to say this is one of their lesser ones. The customer service is lacking here and every time I visit this location it’s not a great experience and I feel uncomfortable. I definitely recommend their Greenwich, Connecticut location because the By the Way Bakery products are amazing, just don’t let their customer service throw you off!

If you like baked goods, BTW is as good as it gets. If you also require gluten-free and/or dairy free, you've hit the proverbial jackpot!! No way you can distinguish between BTW and any other mainstream bakery. A bit pricey but worth it. My personal favorite - Coconut Cake - next level!

My husband and I are both gluten free and knew part of our cake would need to be gluten free. We ended having By the Way make the cake for the entire wedding. Everyone couldn't believe the cake was gluten free and dairy free. Our only regret is not eating more of it on our wedding day . We cant wait to eat it for our 1 year anniversary

We have been there a few times and its always tasty and high quality. We always get in and put quickly and staff is really nice and helpful. I had a custom cake from there for my 40th birthday and it tasted fantastic and looked amazing too. Every item is out and in view so you can see what you want and can ask if you can't tell if its what you want. Really like this place

In December I went to get some Hanukkah donuts (sufganiyot). When I said I would like to buy some sufganiyot, the employee rudely scolded me that I had to have ordered them in advance by the 18th and, since I didn't, I cannot order them until the 27th (when Hannukah is over). I was shocked that she would speak to me that in this unprofessional and condescending manner. When I said that I had no idea that I needed to order in advance, the employee scolded me again that I should have looked on Facebook before I came to the store (20 min drive each way) and I would have known. I was completely caught off guard by her rude tone and response. (Btw, immediately after this, I looked on their FB page and the two posts mentioning sufganiyot didn't say anything about ordering.)I would have perhaps chalked this up to the employee having a bad day but this seems to be an ongoing problem, as noted in other reviews and I had been to this store before, pre-pandemic, when there also was a very rude employee. This is why I hadn't been back to the store all this time but decided to give them another chance. Sadly, they continue to staff the store with unprofessional, rude staff.If their goal is to drive away customers, they are doing a good job!

I went in recently hoping to get a few red velvet cupcakes. My boyfriend's mom usually gets their large red velvet cake for his birthday every year. The menu online said they sold the specialty flavored cupcakes. The young ladies didn't even bother saying hello. Gave us a look assuming we were ready to order. I go in with my aunt and the place is DUSTY, like it had been a while since they've cleaned. I asked the young lady working if she knew if one of the pastries was made with almond flour or had almonds on it. Her answer?"Oh I'm not sure. What does the sign say? Hm. Well, You can email the owners and they can give you all the information." Then I asked if they had any of the specialty cupcakes in the back. She said "Unfortunately what's out is all we have. We don't make those flavors in cupcakes." So why did your menu say that you did? "Oh you can come on the weekends and we usually have stuff. But if anything you can call the owners and they can explain everything. Do you want anything else?"Then after, she picked up the store phone in the middle of taking my order. And continued to talk on the phone instead of helping me first.So in short, the only redeeming factor in my experience were the pastries. The chocolate cupcake was out of this world, as was the whoopie pie and Orange Almond Cake. Everything else I was very unhappy about. My aunt couldn't even eat what she wanted because the young ladies working couldn't give us any info about what was being sold! For this establishment to be known to be super allergen safe/ gluten free/ specialty bakery it had very bad customer service. Take away these girls food licenses. How do you not know anything about the things you're selling to customers? If that's the case, give the business a kiosk, and let me grab the food by myself, since you clearly didn't need any employees working to give us any help. Or, the owners need to work there full time to ensure customer satisfaction.

I have been shopping here since they opened, I have been catfishing people with this unbelievable great gluten-free bakery for I believe 8 years? And the shock on their faces, after they tell me how good it is, and then they realize it is gluten-free is almost as satisfying as how good it is!
