People in the Hempstead Community are so gullible. Two things, the fish products are overpriced! Where on earth do you pay $7 for whiting? Worse, the so called large whiting are the same size as the so called small. When I asked to speak to the "Chinese owner", (i know who she is.. The workers pointed me to another rude Spanish guy who claim to be in charge.! Because of that lie and the price I am writing this review and giving the history on this place. As of late they put a rude Spanish guy whom they said is in charge of the store. They lied. ON THEIR website, they claim to be a restaurant!! This is not a restaurant!! They charge big money for these seafood dishes and Black folks just like up from the counter to the door to buy cooked food! I once observed them cleaning up water from the floor, moved the fryer and the rats and mice went running! When you question the price then nobody speaks English suddently!!! I suggest the community STOP BEING LAZY AND HEAD TO THE FREEPORT DOCKS FOR FRESH FISH OR GO TO THE LOCAL GROCERY STORE ON FULTON AVE WITH A FRESH FISH MARKET IN THE STORE. The market is independant of the store so your getting fresh fish at better pricing and you will not be cheated. No they will not cook it for you. I suggest you buy your fish , seafood and veggies and COOK THE FOOD YOURSELF!! Including crab crazy people. WAKE UP! STOP BEING RIPPED OFF. AND YES I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE NASSAU COUNTY CONSUMER DEPT. LOOKS PRETTY ON THE WEBSITE BUT TAKE A TOUR INSIDE THE STORE!!! BTW ONE MORE THING. THE GREESE THEY COOK THE FOOD IN IS OVERUSED SERVERAL TIMES!! THIS IS WHAT YOUR EATING PEOPLE. FOOD COOKED IN DIRTY GREASE! NO WONDER YOU FULL OF DISEASES!!!

There is no question, that the steamed fish with veggies are the real deal.
Ok place to get some things but the quality of the "fresh" fish and cooked items is at best mediocrity. Several times i got fish that was cooked and it was bad( meaning spoiled). And alot of the fresh fish is actually frozen and put out on display...

I've been buying fish from Main Street Fish Market for years. They have a good selection of fish. The fish I purchase is always cut and prepared exactly how I want it and in a timely manner. It's also a great place to go if you want to pick up a meal for lunch or dinner.

if you're in the mood for some fried seafood this is not the place to go. The seafood isn't fresh, and taste like processed food and they don't fully cook the fries. I was very disappointed and they've gone up in price.
