I worked at the Woodro as a kid in High School and part of College. All was great. I dont understand the new people. Yesterday; I tried the Woodro on Broadway and ordered a very good Brisket on club with Russian and cole slaw with 6 mini Potato Latkes (pancakes). Sandwich was good the latkes all burnt beyond recognition. With the cost of gas less expensive to toss them out then drive back and forth The kitchen should never ever have sent these burnt ones out. They should be embarassed.

I really feel upset that there is no one else aside from Gary to take the orders over the phone. He is not friendly, not patient. He is very tense like all the time he sounds very busy and hangs up the phone abruptly. Cannot politely say to hold on to give the total price of the order and how long will it take to get to my place. I don’t need him to tell me exactly the time but at least say for example fifteen minutes, half an hour. I asked for a manager and he says he is the manager but he doesn’t act like one so I don’t even know if he is the manager. It’s frustrating not to have somebody else to work with my order. I love the food in this place but the person is not helping at all. Maybe he needs someone to help him but he is very rude sound like he has an attitude problem. We need a person with people skills.

Good food, bad attitude. Bad manners on the phone and in the store. It's a shame, this was once one of the best delis in the five towns. It could be again if they change there attitude.

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars I got a pastrami sandwich and a corn beef sandwich and when I say this horrible meat was dry as a bone and jut tasteless!! Their home made pickles were spoiled beyond belief Rotten made me sick I was in the bathroom for an hour getting rid of the worst meal I've ever eaten in my 52 years!!! Place was run by either Spanish people or Mexicans that didn't even understand English ink Jewish guy was sitting on a chair on the phone and looked homeless!!! Place is disgusting !!!! $42 later and an hour in the bathroom puking I vow to get this garbage pail of a Jewish restaurant closed!!!! Just a disgusting disgrace to even call what they sold me food!!! It all got tossed in the trash and we got pizza I learned my lesson and will NEVER EVER eat at that hell hole again!!! STAY CLEAR OF THIS Place!!!!!!

Owner was incredibly rude. I got there and listened as he threatened to hang up on people who he felt asked too many questions! The food was expensive, cold, and mediocre. I called to see if they delivered and was told they were too busy. Got there and there were only 2 tables with diners. My only regret is when, with an attitude, he said the food I ordered for pickup wasn't ready and that he told me 10 minutes (which was how long it took me to get there) I didn't walk out. Been eating deli since childhood. I love it. The corned beef here was ice cold and the owner, arrogant and nasty. Diner beware.

New owners are usually rude, but I have always loved the food, so I overlook it. The applesauce that came with my potato pancakes, FULL OF MOLD! Completely lost my appetite.

ALL RECENT REVIEWS ARE HORRIBLE, SO BEWARE!!!! Grew up in the Five towns and this place was great then. New Israeli owners for six years. Gone terribly downhill since then. Poor service. We were the only in restaurant customers for mother's day dinner. Took 45 minutes to make our sandwiches. They say 8 oz of meat on the menu but when asked, they say it's only 7 oz. They won't let you buy meat and create you own sandwich in the restaurant. Charge an extra $5 for an extra oz of meat?! Give you two complimentary pickles in a bowl , for three people. Cole slaw was good. Quality of meat fair. I won't be back. The owners are rude in an Israeli way, like they're doing you a favor to answer your question. And it's expensive as well for what you get. The waiter didn't refill our water once. Another favorite gone. Do yourself a favor and find another deli that won't disappoint you.
If you love lean corned beef on rye, this is the place for you. The coleslaw sauce at delicious.

Food was good. Came in for an order to go. Staff was friendly. Had to wait inside because of car trouble. I decided to eat there while I waited for roadside assistance. Was just finished eating at the table, meanwhile maybe one other patron was sitting like 6 tables away from me, besides that the place was empty. I was minding my own business and this big j**** I'm presuming the owner.. comes in rudely demands I put my mask on.. while I'm sitting down eating with 2 bags in front of me. I have no issue complying with the mask.. but as I'm in the middle of maybe finishing my food and taking my time. It wasn't the most pleasant experience when this giant a** comes out and aggressively screams at me about a mask when I'm literally sitting in a corner table alone with only one other customer nowhere near me. I had some more food in the bag I was going to keep eating. I tried explaining to him that I was eating but he kept insisting I wasn't? So strange. Apparently sitting down eating you need to wear a mask. He wasn't nice about it. He was extremely rude and loud when I just asked him if I have to wear a mask while sitting at a table after I had just ordered food.. he kept screaming over me until I had to tell him to stop talking to me. I was trying to support this local business that's clearly not half as good as it used to be hence why it's empty. But the manager or owners power trip and nasty language and tone I will never be back!

The gentleman that helped was so helpful. I found them on the internet and I called them from 350 miles away. He made me feel like he was my friend. The platers that he suggested were so beautiful and the recipients said the food was wonderful. I called them at 9am and i needed it delivered ASAP and they had it to my family's house at 11:30. God was with me that day THANK YOU so much
