Loved this place. So sad to see them close. Best place for pav bhaji. The service was always great. Not the best location. Hopefully they will reopen.

Wanted to eat Gujarati food so came here with my mom. Ordered the pav bhaji and Punjabi thali. Food was good. Ordered falooda for dessert. Nice too. There was a scarcity of napkins. Nice setting. Food was at a reasonable price.

Came here on a Saturday evening around 7:30 PM for dinner without a reservation. There was surprisingly (and thankfully) a lot of room in the restaurant, which one would never see at a restaurant in Edison. However, the place did start filling up around 8/8:30. We ordered the samosas and the pav bhaji and our food came out very quickly. The samosas were large and coated with a hint of masala powder which I always appreciate. The filling was great as well but a little on the spicier side. Both the green and brown chutneys were good, but the brown chutney was not as sweet as traditional tamarind or date chutneys. Would definitely not hesitate to order the samosas again. I enjoyed the pav bhaji as well. It is a good portion size and comes with diced onions, a lemon slice, and two pav bhaji breads which are perfectly buttered and pan-toasted. Medium-spicy was the perfect level of spice for me, and the bhaji was not oily at all (my biggest fear with getting pav bhaji at a restaurant!). Would have liked the bhaji to be a little more chunky, but it was still highly satisfying. Though this place is famous for its pav bhaji, the menu had a full array of Indian cuisine, from street food to North Indian to South Indian, and I have heard that their paneer tikka appetizer is pretty good. Overall, great place to satisfy an Indian food craving!

First time here. Had dahi puri, a Punjabi thali (dum aloo, palak paneer, dal makhani, papad, naan, achar, onions, dahi, and gulab jamun), and a veg masala sandwich with a side of fries (not included). It was ok, nothing extraordinary. The sandwich was very basic and didn't have much flavor. Maybe we should have gotten the pao bhajii as everyone's reviews suggested. Also, found it very awkward that we had to sign for the tip on the iPad while your server is holding the iPad. Felt obligated to tip higher than we would have otherwise. Also, had to ask for our drinks 2 times and napkins maybe 5 times and then they brought them out. The servers seemed distracted or out of it, which was annoying bc eating a thali is very messy.

Decent sized portions and fast service. The menu is very easy to understand, as they offer a lot of pictures and descriptions that give you an idea of what you're ordering. I love the variety of appetizers offered. Although the restaurant is famous for its Pav Bhaji, it has many other amazing appetizers. My personal favorites are the Samosa Chaat and I love the Chili Garlic Noodles. I was a little doubtful of it's IndoChinese food, but it has good noodles and rice. I wouldn't recommend the Manchurian(it's a bit sour) or the pizza (the cheese is very strong)however. Overall, the place offers a lot of options that you're bound to enjoy.

I had ordered Chili Paneer, Gobi Manchurian and a Monchow soup. Truthfully, the monchow was better than the last time I had ordered it about a year ago but the other two were complete disappointments. Paneer didn't absorb any of the gravy and was quite plain while the Gobi in the manchurian was mushy. When I brought the dishes home I was shocked to see the same color gravy for both dishes and interesting the soup was somewhat identical to the dishes. I'd give it a 3 only because of the soup. Other two dishes, were a waste of $18.

The food is decent but the customer service definitely needs a lot of work. Every time I go, I get the same waitress who brings out our orders one dish at a time and I have to keep asking her when our next dish will be coming out, and if we order drinks she doesn't bring them until I ask her to which is often times after the first dish comes out! Work on customer service!!

Very average- the food is edible but nothing extraordinary. The dosa was ok - nothing extra special - I've had much better ones for example the Ganesh temple canteen in queens or even Indikitch. The hot and sour soup was the worst - insanely spicy. I complained that it was unbearably spicy and the waiter just ignored it .... and charged us nonetheless. Dahi puri was again very average- I've had much better at Bengali Sweet house a few blocks away. The mango lassi was good. We will not return.

This place is delicious! They are authentic Indian cuisine and don't stray away from bold flavors. Their specialty is the Bhaji Pav, definitely order this. The staff is friendly and helpful when selecting dishes. I will definitely go here again.
