Im addict it to Peruvian food . I visited dozens of Peruvian restaurants in many city’s and countries but jalea was , is and will be the # 1 no joke and have the best ceviche , best pescado a lo macho , best piña colada , best sangria , best arroz de mariscos I mean is so many amazing dishes !

This place has been opened for sometime now and the food is always very good. This time, we ordered the pulpo anticuchado and the causa as appetizers. Both were were flavorful and nicely presented. The main were: salmon a lo macho, lomo saltado and tallarines verdes con entraña. Everything was just delicious. The salmon had plenty of seafood and the sauce was delicate, but flavorful. The meat in the lomo saltado was perfectly cooked and the sauce in the tallarines verdes was a great balance of flavors. Our server, Irma, was great, personable and funny. Irma made our visit a lot more enjoyable. Highly recommend.

The main appetizer we went for they didn't have so that was a damper but appetizer we did get and the main dish was very good and large portions. The churros for dessert had No cinnamon sugar so it was major lacking flavor but the ice-cream that was a flavor from a fruit only from peru was a nice touch. Staff was very nice especially the woman, very friendly. Overall was a pleasant visit

Had the chicken with rice and my wife had her favorite soup from here. Staff was friendly but waited a bit for the check when the restaurant wasn't busy. Would Def come back again.
This might have been my worst restaurant experience yet. The building itself was elegant, but for a Saturday night, it was almost empty. Didn't take us long to see why. First, the meals was drastically expensive and no person would get full with the little food that came on our plates. The Jalea tasted horribly, and the fish fillet was musty. Then, I spotted that the ice cubes in my water had candle-wax. We called the waiter, who got defensive. He didn't apologize for any inconvenience and called a fellow waitress who did the same. We are incredibly dissatisfied and do not recommend it to anyone.

The worst restaurant! We waited 1 hour for our food ! Waiter was nowhere to be found I kept on telling different waiters that our we had been waiting a long time for our food and no food came until an hour later ! We ordered Jalea the Jalea was horrible ! Not tasty at all small portion and the batter had to much flour it was hard as a rock !I don't mind paying money for quality food but this was bad .I wanted to talk to a manager to let him know we had waited an hour for the food he was the chef n he had ruined our night and he simple said I'm sorry and walked away . Horrible service horrible food don't waste your time

What an interesting experience. There were 2 of us, and for some reason every restaurant we tried that night was closed, shut down, had a broken air conditioner, etc. That's how we stumbled upon Jalea! The food was very good, we were the only folks in the joint, and the service was so nice. We ended up chatting with our server a bit.
