Great food. Terrible Service and over charged. I was told this place had great food so I decided to give it a try. As we entered the restaurant no one greeted us so we sat ourselves. Only then were we immediately approached and advised that we could not sit at a booth because they are reserved for parties of three or more. Meanwhile, the place was EMPTY. Ok, so we moved to a much smaller table and placed our order. After a while some middle eastern families started to come in and we noticed right away how they were treated and how they were served. They were all given what I think was stuffed grape leaves and bread. We weren’t even asked if we wanted some. Why were we treated differently? Perhaps they didn’t like my cologne? After our meal I went up to the register to pay because they only had one young man working the entire frontend. Upon paying I noticed that two surcharges were added with NO explanation. I wanted to protest but this guy looked like he was 16.It really saddens that this place thinks this kind of behavior is ok. As for the added surcharges I’m sure the state of New York will be interested in your practices.

The food is great. Always get the Qabuli. The meat is always cooked to perfection and moist. Service is great. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be to dilute the fabuloso cleaning solution with more water so the place doesn’t smell like chemicals while dining-in. Everything looks super clean though! Don’t think twice and place your order!

WHAT A PLACE!! This place really exceeded my expectations. The waiter was polite and the food was fresh. This place really got the best food in LI. I recommend the chicken tikka and lamb tikka.

The food is good, but I’m very disappointed with how they charged us service fees and tax rates without being mentioned on the receipt. We were just two people, the overall amount was too much including the service fee and tax rate, which should be well-informed to customers.

My experience at Kandahar Grill was disappointing due to overcharging for the kababs and lamb chops. The restaurant inflated the prices, and the management was dismissive when I raised the issue. The food quality was satisfactory, but the negative experience overshadowed it. The ambiance was pleasant, but the service was lackluster. Overall, I cannot recommend Kandahar Grill due to the overcharging and poor service.

Loved Kandahar grill. Never had afghan food before. I had their chicken platter. Definitely coming back!!
