This place joins the "a place that used to be good" club.We went back to this place after 2 years for lunch.Ordered the following1) Pani Puri2) Onion Masala Dosa3) Veg. Manchurian with gravy4) Bottle of water (as they don't seem to offer tap water for free)Among the 3 items, Pani Puri was OK to eat.Masala dosa was almost un-edible. It was over-cooked on right side and uncooked on left side (soft batter).The masala inside was definitely from yesterday and the chutneys were served in plastic containers :(Veg. Manchurian was basically microwave heated up and served. The actual Manchurian was hard to break. (and no serving utensils)Additionally, note that these guys charge a service fee (3%) for credit card or CASH transections. (If the restaurant wants to challenge, this, please see the attached receipts)This is very unscrupulous business practice.THIS WAS OUR LAST TIME at Mithas!Another Indian restaurant bites the dust in Hicksville

We went to Mithaas many times for breakfast and methai, this time I went after Shiva Ratri for dinner with fes of my friends. I was not sure what to order since I have tasted most of the food. Everything was amazingly tasty there, A friendly staff helped me to choose spring Dosa. I haven’t tried their Dosa so I ordered it. It was very good. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the owner was very welcoming and polite. My friends ordered chat and chole bhature . We enjoyed the warm vegetarian food . Ambience was pretty casual since it was not a fine dining. We highly recommend this place to everyone. And of course try their sweets… Vey fresh and tasty. This time I choose Jalebi. My family and I always enjoy the service and homely atmosphere of the Hicksville location! The owner always looks after us and makes sure that we are satisfied with our meals. The extra Jalebi for my mom was the extra touch that makes you feel like family! Highly recommend for an authentic taste of Indian food!

My friend has ordered from here many times. She grew up in India, and she says their food is the best. She convinced me to try the aloo papri chaat. I've never heard of this food before. There is potatoes, cooked chickpeas, roasted chickpeas, crispy noodles, onions, crispy puffed things, mung beans, cilantro, and spices. I could even finish it. I was so full after eating half of it. I think it's meant to be shared as a snack with others. She didn't even tell me what the food consisted of, so I had no expectations. The only thing she asked is if I liked things spicy, sour, and sweet at the same time. I said yes. We ordered through Uber Eats. The dish is good. But lots of fried things, so made my tongue numb after eating too much. She told me to mix the yogurt sauce, tamarind sauce, and green chutney sauce together with the food. It was really really good, but I think next time I will share it with other people. It's definitely alot for 1 person. And I feel like it's more of an appetizer or snack? Anyways, I've had their Hakka noodles from there too, as my friend bought from there and let me try. It was really good! I will definitely order more from them.

Was served literally rotten food and the owner/cashier over charged us on purpose hoping that he’ll get away with that so called mistake he made on the bill. Used to be a good vegetarian spot but not anymore. Please avoid if you care about quality and hygiene.
