If it's one thing I appreciate from this place is the portions. Now a days it's hard to find good homemade type food for a decent price. But at Uncle Don's they don't skimp out. I love the sweet plantains. Rice and peas was a bit dry but the flavor is still there. Jerk chicken has flavor without overpowering everything else. The Spicy Beef Patty uff.. my favorite. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a great establishment for this community. It brings good & delicious carribean food to this part of Long Island. I highly recommend this spot

I ordered oxtail with rice and beans plus plantains. Oxtails lack flavor. Rice & beans and plantains was okay. A medium container cost $23.00!! Doubt if I will go there again.

5 Star all around service. When I moved to the area a little over a year ago I decided one day to walk through their doors and have been hooked since. The staff is attentive, friendly, and happy to explain/recommend the dishes if you're new to the cuisine. All the food is super fresh and packed with flavor such as their newly added "Rhasta Pasta" (which I just got today and am already addicted to). Prices are great for the portions and they have a good range of options depending on your personal level of spice tolerance, with even some desserts to help balance them out. All in all I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new fave takeout spot to add to their rotation.

Just great Jamaican food, if that's what you're after. Bright and clean. The (counter) service was solid. The menu isn't big or complex, but they concentrate on making those food items really good, so that works for me. This is definitely in my take-out rotation. Also, always get the maduros (sweet plantains). Easily one of my favorites.
