The menu has foods that some other Latin restaurants don’t have; for example, Galician Potage/ Caldo Gallego, which is a soup whose ingredients include ham hocks, collard greens and white beans; smoked pork chops; liver strips; and guava shells with cream cheese. The alcoholic drinks are potent. I had the passionfruit mojito, which was made with unsweetened passionfruit and rum with a high alcoholic content. The drink was so strong that I had to take some home with me to consume at a later time.I highly recommend Rincon Criollo. It is the real deal!!!

Went Rincon Criollo before they closed their Corona restaurant & moved to Long Island. Great cuisine and will miss it.
Delicious Cuban food and service! We had the smoked pork chops, boiled yucca, moros, black beans, oxtail, fried grouper, flounder in garlic sauce, and a salad. We also got ham croquettes and the extremes platter (Cuban antipasto) as an app. We cleaned almost everything on our plates due to how good it was, and also had some flan for dessert and churros and tres leches. The drinks were good and nicely spiked, we all liked the hurricane, mojito, and iced tea. Price was not bad for all that we had. Very good and will come back :)

I like trying new restaurants and have always had a good experience with Cuban food. So, for my grandfather’s 82nd birthday I decided to take him here. The staff was very welcoming and our waitress, Camila, was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped made my grandfather’s birthday special. I hope to be back again soon.
This place never disappoints were the words of my wife. Even my "picky eater" boys were satisfied. We have been going here for years and were frequent eaters at their Jackson Heights location prior to this place opening. The food is as authentically Cuban as you can get without leaving Long Island. The service is super friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is old school NYC restaurant without giving off the feeling that it hasn't been done on purpose. Love this place and the staff. A definite go to.

Food is good. The poor review was this:You gotta love it when this restaurant messes up your pick up order by leaving out an entree completely, but of course charges for it. But when we call, the lady who answers the phone gives us an attitude as if we are in the wrong. It’s very annoying to get home, find out the order is wrong and go back to receive an attitude. Awesome.Probably won’t be coming back.
