I got the $1 tacos for a promotion they were having. The wait was a little long because it was kind of the peak time at night but the food was delicious and the price was really good for the food. Would come back for more tacos!! Their yellow sauce was good but would have liked to try the green sauce, which they ran out. Will try next time.

Food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the lunch specials: carne asada burrito with salad and tacos with rice and beans with drinks included, we got Jarritos. Portions are big, we had to take the rest home! Staff is very friendly, Lucas is the best!! Definitely would recommend, can’t beat the prices, portions, friendly staff, and cute decor ! Will definitely be coming back, cannot wait for the Huntington Station location to open !

I’m a native Texan who has eaten more enchiladas than can be counted. The enchiladas here at Cactus Cafe are top-notch, the beans and rice were sooooo exactly right. The staff was friendly and they are clearly trying hard to keep the price point tolerable. Can’t wait to go back.

Ordered on Uber eats, to get robbed of my money! Staffed packed a tub of cheese sauce , tub of beans and plain chips . LIKE HUH? That’s not even what I ordered .. To then call the restaurant to let them know , staff hangs up phone and says they’re closed. Completely unprofessional.

Order was wrong, crispy chicken taco where pork tacos, very little meat, steak burrito had almost no steak just an over priced rice and bean burrito, enchilada style almost no cheese, large nachos had a good amount of cheese sauce but guacamole and salsa amounts were laughable, order was cold and price was ridiculous, $6 small tacos, almost $100 myself my wife and my son had to find microwaveable food in the freezer after because we were still starving, will not return, as gross as it sounds your better off at Taco Bell

I'm from Texas and I can honestly tell you one thing: the cornerstone of true tex-mex cuisine is enchiladas and chile con queso. They don't serve chile con queso. Therefore, it is an INSULT to call this place tex-mex.

I can't tell you how elated I am to have a Cactus Cafe around the corner from me. Discovered them in 2005 when I worked near the Glen Cove location. I'm happy to report the quality is still top notch and everything I've eaten so far has tasted delicious. I was transported back to 2005 today when I had the shrimp burrito. Still the best shrimp burrito I've ever eaten. The corn & chicken chowder is not to be missed along with the Peruvian chicken. Thank you Paul for putting out such a great product and I wish you continued success.

Amazing food for unbeatable prices. My family and I are in love with their Peruvian rotisserie chicken and delicious yellow hot sauce. The spices are perfect and the meat just falls off the bone. The whole chicken meal with four gigantic side platters (take your pick of rice, black or refried beans, salad, and mixed roasted veggies) is more than enough to feed four people- for only $26!!!! Inside it's super bright and colorful, yet cozy, and there is surprisingly a lot of seating available. Sadly, I had to subtract a star from my review because I ordered food through Yelp tonight and it was a complete mess. The food was horribly packaged in aluminum/plastic takeout containers and my black beans spilled all over everything else in the flimsy plastic bag. It was salvageable, but a huge mess, and made me regret tipping as nicely as I did.

The food here is great but the parking is ATROCIOUS. We came for lunch and had to leave our lunch twice to move our cars for employees to move their cars. The employees park illegally in the parking lot making it almost impossible to navigate. When my wife asked who the owner was of one of the cars one of the employees said that they didn’t know, only to have to move our car the second time for another employee to move their car. Unless you are coming to pick up, or get delivery, I would avoid this place.

Tried this cute place a few days ago with a friend. We were the only people in the place enjoying a burrito special with some nachos. Christmas music was playing very loudly... too loudly to have a conversation comfortably. We politely asked the server to please lower the music. She refused. She told us the owner doesn't permit her to adjust the music. I thought that was pretty unreasonable if that is, in fact, the policy.

Got a grilled chicken burrito doesn't have much flavor and it wasn't even hot. My opinion they should've put the burrito on the grill after they rolled it to give it a little more flavor and to warm it up. Did not come with any sauce Guess I should've asked for sauce

Food was really good! And the jalapeno corn bread is the perfect dessert.
