The food is really very good, the steak is great, the sides are terrific, the dessert is great as well, no complaint about that at all. Here's the problem, I made a reservation for 2 at 8PM. At 9PM I was having my second drink at the Bar and when I was walking from the Bart to the little corner of the room where my wife was waiting, a waiter bumped into me and my drink spilled on his shirt he yelled at me that my drink went all over him and the Bar tender got a hundred dollar bill for 2 drinks and I had to remind him to give me my change! At 9:15 waiting for that 8pm reservation, we left our drinks on the butcher block table (see for yourself) we left and went to Franks. When we got to Franks, Chris came over and said great to see you and he sat us immediately! Make your own decision but know what to expect.

We sit at the bar because the Servers are so nice and the drinks come quick!! Lol We tried the Shrimp Scampi Casserole and it was really good.

My wife and I ate here on a recent Saturday night. We had a two top by the kitchen door and had a view of the servers and workers going in and out all night. From sitting at that table you get a sense of how hard these folks work to get you a great meal. Although the restaurant was packed, this was as about a well run and professional restaurant beginning with the valet service and the server and staff who took care of us. Everyone was friendly and thanked us for our business, which was really a nice touch. The food was much better than what we had remembered and this will now be our go to spot for special occasions.

My wife and I went here on Valentine’s Day. Her bone-in ribeye was excellent. The meat in my beef stroganoff could have been more tender. Our server was great. The ambiance was wonderful. My blueberry pie was so-so. The cocktails were weak.

We found the food and service to be excellent but just want to make their patrons aware of a ridiculous policy from management. We had a Jimmy Hays gift card and upon presentation of payment using the card, management decided they would charge us the fee normally associated when using a CC (4%). This policy needs to be reviewed since the restaurant pays absolutely NO FEE for the redemption of their own gift card. We will not be visiting this restaurant again based on this money grabbing policy. It is unfortunate since the food and service were excellent. We have shared this information with everyone we know and felt we should let patrons be aware of this.

This is the true definition of classic steak house. Had a small business meeting here. Steaks all around. Professional waitstaff, superb steaks, cocktails perfect. Ambiance is right for couples and business. Jimmy is always around watching over his gem. It will always be good.

it must be great.......packed on a thu nite, go figure? sat at the bar and was most impressed with level of service and expertise of the bartenders, especially chris. drinks were spot on and well balanced. bar menu i think is better then the main room as far as pricing and less formal meals go, however at the bar one can utilize both menus. anyone a fan of the ole bellmore McCluskey's Steakhouse, will certainly enjoy the nostalgia along with the similar meat selections. staff and service was impressive, mr. hays certainly can be proud of his team. jimmy hays is certainly the best steak house on the island.

The food and service at Jimmy Hays is consistently impeccable. The atmosphere is fantastic no matter what time of year and makes a great date nigh or night out with friends. Could not recommend a restaurant more highly.
