Sadly, Sammy’s is closed. The website shows open but the doors were locked. We tried calling and the message said to order online. When we tried to order online, there was a message saying Sammy’s is for sale. We stop every time we travel from Virginia to Syracuse because the pizza is the best we’ve had since Naples, Italy. Completely bummed!

I’m a native Ithaca and hands down this place makes the most def***ingLICOUS pizza - you simply won’t find a better slice of thin crust pizza around. The sauce is and toppings are crazy good but what makes this pizza stand out among the rest is it’s perfectly cooked-ever so slightly crispy crust that lends itself nicely to shoveling the first couple bites in your satisfied mouth. Sammys is a pizzeria, so order PIZZA. I highly recommend trying some fresh slices and taking them TO GO. (Sorry Sammys - but the seating area is rather dark and dingy and restroom, well… enter at your own risk) All in all this is the best pizza place in town and a Ithaca staple. Go here!

Stopped in for a quick lunch while walking around downtown Ithaca. Good Pizza at a fair price. Ordered the 2 cheese slices with a soda for $6.50. Pizza crust is fresh and not too thin, the sauce tasted canned but not bad and the cheese was good. Not a bad lunch.
