Very upset that Gorgers would allow a customer to bring their dog into the restaurant. Seems like that's a health code violation? IDK. Even more upsetting is the customer didn't have control over the dog that was in Gorgers, and when I walked by, outside on the sidewalk, the dog that Gorgers allowed in its restaurant bolted out of the store and attacked my dog. It bit my dog twice before the frumpy old lady could be bothered to come out and grab its leash. All of this could have been avoided if Gorgers had stopped her from bringing her dog into the restaurant.

Very very small, tightly packed, dark place with just a handful of tiny tables pressed against a wall, each other, and doors on either side. Not a place to have an enjoyable sit-down meal. Service was fast and friendly. The food was okay. The small is enormous. I had the Philly Steak sub with seitan. I would not get it again.

Gorgers has become a must-do for lunch whenever I visit Ithaca. Great range of creative subs, and I really appreciate that almost everything can be made vegetarian or vegan, using eggplant or their homemade seitan (I've enjoyed the seitan on multiple occasions). Great looking sides, etc., but a small sized sub is more than enough food for me. Can't wait to get back!

This had been a nice shop pre-pandemic where you could hole up at a wooden table and scarf dwon a bowl of chowder or a quite decent sandwich ... Unfortunately, in more recent times, the quality, especially calibre of meat; and the feeling of the service as well, just seemed to keep plummeting ... Then the last time I stepped in here the other day, still giving it a last chance; while I was waiting for my order I heard the clerk attempt to explicitly wheedle the promise of a tip in advance -- for a take-out order! -- from the customer who was up at the register ... The clerk acted as if doing so was part of taking the order , and I heard him say "And what you got for ME?" ?!?! I have to think my own days as a patron here are over ... If there's someone minding the store they should make sure they have good, working surveillance with audio, so that the culprit can hopefully be dismissed ... But it would take more than that to restore trust ... Otherwise they should take out the "R" in their sign & replace it with a "U" I'm afraid

Small place, but absolutely so much flavor coming out of here. I ordered the Philly and it's the best I've had in 10 years around this area! Rolls are made on site and are amazing!! An absolute must try when in ithaca!
