Never disappoints! Food is obviously made with love. My sister and I save our pennies every week to be able to savor the delicious creations from Rose!

Rose's is our favorite thing! We have liked or LOVED everything we've tried from Rose, and we've tried a lot. The Pot Pie is yummy. Noodles with peanut sauce makes for a couple of really filling lunches in the summer when you don't want anything too warm or too heavy. Burrito gigante, yup! Salmon cakes, so good! And I don't even really love salmon that much. Three of her dishes are astoundingly good and we order them nearly every time they're available: The Gumbo, the Shrimp Creole, and by far and away the best: the EGGPLANT PARM. All three are melt in your mouth to die for good. I kind of can't say enough about how great. Quality, mostly locally-sourced ingredients, prepared with an eye toward health-consciousness, but also with just amazing skill! What's not to love!?

The food delivery was on time, well packaged, and the portions are ample. I ordered two items: bean and kale soup, and shepherds pie. The soup was very salty, very garlicky, and my spouse had to pick bay leaves out of it. The shepherds pie was . . . so not good. The mashed potato topping was a layer of what tasted like mashed baked potato (very dry and chunky). The inside tasted like someone had thrown together bovril, packets of frozen veggies, and half the contents of a salt shaker. We could not eat it, and I've made some pretty rough stuff that we've managed to get down. So, here I am with $50 of inedible food, and a glass dish that I've got to get back to Rose to get my $12 deposit back. I wanted to love this food, as this service would have made my life so much easier. I tried contacting Rose three days ago, to ask if the food had been a blip, and would I be better off ordering something different, but I have not heard back from her. TL;DR - Everything about Rose's Home Dish is great, except for the food, which makes hospital cafeteria food look great.

Fantastic! I was recuperating from surgery and my son and daughter in law gave us a generous and thoughtful gift of a Rose's gift certificate. We only recently moved to Ithaca and were not familiar with Rose' s Home Dish. My family is very particular about what they eat so I knew the selections would be fresh, natural and tasty but I couldn't have imagined how scrumptious everything would be. So far we've enjoyed the ribs- amazing - and the eggplant parma- best I've ever had! We ordered the beet salad twice - it was that good. Meals were delivered mid afternoon with clear and brief directions for reheating. Absolutely fabulous service, food, quality and value. Do not miss this taste of Ithaca.

Oh. my. god. My family just moved to Ithaca a couple of weeks ago, and I have my hands more than full with starting my new lab at Cornell and a two-month-old baby. We've been subsisting on takeout, but have had Rose's Home Dish for the past three dinners. It has changed our lives! We order a salad and a casserole, and I swear to god it tastes just like we made it at home. It actually feels like we're eating healthy food, not restaurant food! This is it, we have found our solution for dinner. Go Ithaca!

Don't miss her berry soup, her tomato soup and her Moroccan stew! I just like how easy it is to order. I order a few dishes when I see ones I like and freeze them.
