Beautiful setting, but expensive. Staff was very unfriendly. I guess if I spend 7 bucks on a small, plastic glass of cider, I wouldn't mind a smile or a thank you here and there.

Went in for a tasting, service was excellent. Purchased 2 bottles, farmhouse was very good. Will be back next I'm in the area?

we did the standard 5 cider tasting. this included a tray of snacks for each of us that had popcorn, olives, mixed nuts and some delicious seasoned cheese curds. we also ordered the melted cheese and crostini which was delicious. the service was very good. the woman bringing us each cider to taste was very nice and knowledgeable. it was a beautiful day and even though I had picked indoor seating, we were able to sit outdoors. we had a reservation which was for 1.5 hours but no one rushed us to leave. I would definitely return.

Great venue, excellent staff, food and drinks offerings. Very disappointed in business decision to make available fire pits and require guest to pay for wood, especially at outrageous prices

Cider was delicious; but they were overpriced at $8 for a 4oz pour. We can get 16 oz pours for $6 at a brewery.Environment was great; but they were acting/treating like a wine venue.

We went to South Hill Cider for a tasting and lunch. I really wanted to like this place; the cider, the food, and the setting are all great. The customer service, however, needs work.Their menu has several sandwiches on it that contain bread and melted cheese, but also meat. Because my husband is a vegetarian and happened to be craving grilled cheese, I asked if they could make one. They said yes and rang me up with no issues. It was on the small side, and he was still hungry after, so I went back up to order a second one. I was then lectured about ordering for an adult from the kids’ menu by both employees.1. I never ordered from your kids’ menu; I simply asked if you could make a grilled cheese sandwich based on looking at other menu items that you offered.2. Why gatekeep food based on age? We’re paying customers; does it really matter what mouth consumes the food?3. I’ve worked in food service (and at a winery where we regularly serve “kids’” items to anyone who pays for them). You stand to gain nothing but a lost sale and a bad reputation by lecturing your customers.They said, “We’ll go ahead and make a second one for you this time since you already got one, but just know for future reference that only kids can have kids’ menu items.”As if there will BE a “future reference”…don’t worry; we won’t be back. There are plenty of places in Ithaca that aren’t so pretentious. Do better.EDIT: I amended my star rating from 2 to 1 because of the owner’s thinly-veiled condescending and dismissive response to my review. Good cider is not worth putting up with people like this.
Wonderful facility and hilltop view. The ciders were all great and perhaps some of the best we've ever had. We had super friendly service and the food looked great but we did try it this time.
