Pros: Facilities were clean and the room was spacious. The hotel was pretty quiet, and the café downstairs serves a decent breakfast. Cons: customer service was pretty bad. When we checked in we were informed that the pool was available but the fitness center was under construction and we could take a shuttle 20 minutes to a planet fitness if we wanted to use a gym. That is not a very convenient option. Also, when we got to our room, it was hot and stuffy. After a few hours with the thermostat set to 66, there was no improvement. when I called the front desk, they said they were having issues with the air conditioning throughout the building, they had no ability to diagnose the issue, no one working on it, and no real solution. They offered to bring a fan, then forgot, and after an hour of waiting, I called and was told that the person who was supposed to bring it had gone on break and forgot about the request. Sleeping in a stuffy, hot and humid room was very difficult. The window was screwed shut. When I asked if we could have someone open it, staff member told me I would have to track down a manager and ask them, because they didn’t know if that was allowed. Isn’t that their job to ask a manager to help a guest? When I voiced my concerns to the agent at the front desk, there was no apology, and no attempt to try to make things better. When I asked if we could be moved to a room with a window that opened, she said they didn’t know which windows opened and which didn’t and they were full anyways, so there was nothing they could do. I have stayed at a number of Marriotts across the country, and this was definitely the most uncomfortable stay, and the least caring staff I have encountered.

I selected this hotel for a Cornell college tour and chose it due to very close proximity to airport. We had a room with 2 beds. Very comfortable and felt safe. I had never stayed at a Courtyard before so was not sure what to expect. There is a restaurant in the lobby that serves bistro menu all day. Breakfast and dinner options were very good. It's not free. You have to pay but prices are competitive with restaurants. We really appreciated it since we were too tired to go out one night. They offer free shuttle service. We used this for drop-off and pick-up to Cornell and the airport. I was really happy with the stay and would stay their again if our student goes to Cornell.

Not a central location but fairly convenient for Ithaca. Room was ok with good water pressure in the shower. Higher floor likely better than our 1st floor room by the parking lot. No free breakfast that one might get with Hyatt’s Hyatt Place, for example. Exercise room closed, temporarily, because none of the machines were working. Staff was fine, and the evening person who checked us in was very friendly. Price was fair but next time in Ithaca, I’ll try elsewhere.

Very comfortable hotel and room, with great staff. I enjoyed a short stay here. Convenient to coffee shops and restaurants, other businesses. I was concerned about the shower - could not adjust the temp - it was so hot I had to jump in and out quickly to avoid a burn, I was in a hurry and couldn't afford the time to fuss with getting it fixed or moving to a different room. Oh and television - very disappointing. One of those hotels where you have a great TV and just want to catch up on some news - but the television is designed to purposely skip over those channels and revert back to Marriott ad programming. VERY ANNOYING.

Hotel was great! The rooms are updated and the beds were very comfortable. The indoor pool area was nice and the water was warm enough to get in. Hot tub is permanently closed which very disappointing. No complimentary coffee in the lobby which was also disappointing.

They have done everything they can to economize. Even the complimentary soap is minuscule , the towels are not high quality, instead of giving shampoo there is a container in the ( not so special ) shower and the container of body lotion is tiny. The pool is small and could do with some work. If the hotel cost $ 85 / night I’d understand but using my bonvoy discount and prepaying for a non cancel label room I paid 216/ night not including taxes etc. The night before we stayed at a raddison in Corning which was much nicer and about $75/ night cheaper. We had to stay at the Courtyard for a family event. If you don’t have to stay here, DONT

The public areas were great... we loved the pool and the king room with a great pull out couch for our seven year old was quite nice. I would love to see this place when it is properly staffed as the level of service we had grown accustomed to getting pre-pandemic is not what is currently being offered. I can't hold this against the hotel or Marriott as there's a lack of staff everywhere these days. As others have mentioned, the bathroom in what was otherwise a larger than expected room was tiny. They should have moved a wall out two feet during construction and nobody would have noticed in the rooms and the bathrooms would be seen as being quite nice. Breakfast is offered but I think it is "provided" by Starbucks... any hot offerings are warmed up from a pre-made refrigerated or frozen stock. The breakfast sandwich I had one day was ok and something similar on a bagel was good too. A bit expensive though given it wasn't prepared for me on the spot. Grow the bathroom a bit and staff the place adequately and I'd have given it an enthusiastic five stars instead of four. If I had to be in the area again, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

This is just your typical Marriott albeit a little disappointing as well. The rooms were nicely decorated and the hotel appeared to be clean however the room I was in was quite dusty. It just appeared that the room was not cleaned very thoroughly. The bed was not very comfortable. The room was quiet and the shower's water temperature was good. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful so kudos for that. Overall it was not a horrible stay but it wasn't anything to write home about either. Just another hotel for me.

Tried to get breakfast but the place was closed. Hard to give it more than 1 star.

I stayed in this hotel for 9 nights, so that I had ample time to form an impression. The hotel is pleasant by and large. The rooms are spacious, the lobby inviting, the staff by and large helpful with some truly outstanding people and for example, Darius. The surroundings are lovely with trees, birds, squirrels and trees. The drawbacks are: 1. Severe problems getting one's room cleaned. While the policy is to clean rooms every three days (more or less), two requests to clean my room within this time period did not result in any cleaning. Only after 5 days was the room cleaned. I learned that this was a consequence of a few cleaning staff quitting due to poor conditions. Only when a manager was recruited to help the regular staff, was the room finally cleaned. As I had no choice, I myself emptied my garbage cans on the third day. This is a clear case of poor management. I would like to inform the owners of the chain of this problem, but it is difficult to find out their contact details. 2. The rudeness of one front desk staff member, hinting at poor training of staff. 3. The lack of safes in the rooms, requiring me to store valuables in a safe deposit box in the area of the front desk.

Really happy with the service we received. Because it was a busy weekend and because our plans changed a few times leading up to it, we ended up booking multiple rooms and multiple different time frames. With one quick chat message through the app, the team at the hotel had our rooms all sorted exactly as I asked! Breakfast counter served us 15 minutes after closing. Rooms and common areas were clean and in good repair. The near airport location is actually in a very nicely landscaped office park with streams, ponds, deer, ducks and bunnies. Great stay!

We paid the same price for the three days we stayed at the Courtyard Ithaca Airport/University by Marriott and received no cleaning services or supplies. We arrived in the room with 2 half rolls of toilet paper, and a small box of Kleenex. We ran out of these supplies and were told to come to the front desk as there was only one person there in the hotel at 7:00 am. I had to empty our garbage every day, as there were only two tiny garbage cans in the room. There were no towel racks by the bathroom sink so our hand towel on the door was constantly falling on the floor next to a bath towel there. Towels on the towel rack above the tub were getting wet.

I was given a one king room with a couch. The room is clean and the furniture is too. There’s a large full length mirror on the wall. Not all hotels give big mirrors. The bathroom is very small but well maintained. No cracked tiles and no torn wallpaper. It is close to the parks. I would come to this hotel again even though they don’t give breakfast here.

We stayed here one night last week. It was the most expensive hotel night I've ever had and one of the worst nights I've spent in a hotel. The one positive thing I will say is that in the <12 hours we were there, our limited interaction with staff was very good. They seemed helpful and interested in making us happy. On to the negative... CLEANLINESS: I don't care if a property is a bit outdated (and this one is), but as soon as you notice cleanliness issues, you start noticing them everywhere. I first noticed a hair on the bedstand (along with lots of fingerprints), then noticed hairs on the bathroom floor. I stopped looking because I didn't want to know - I was too tired. NOISE: I usually request a quiet room but forgot this time so were were across from the ice room. The ice machine (the compressor?) would run on & off the entire night and when it was on, it sounded like a prop plane going down a runway (more on the airport later). It was extremely loud in our room whenever the compressor (or whatever) ran. I called the front desk and they were surprised to hear this because they thought it was broken. They had no other rooms for us, so we had to stay put. If that had been the only negative thing, I wouldn't be writing this review. NO A/C: It was hot and humid out that day. We were lucky the night was cooler, albeit still very humid, because the room AC did not work. I called down and the nice lady said she'd "reset" it from her end but it didn't work. So, we had to have the window open (only opens a little). The room didn't cool down much and it was incredibly humid. In her defense, she said to call back if it didn't work but we were tired and didn't want maintenance in our room at 10pm. There was no air/venting working in the bathroom so the room heated up after each of us took a shower. STINKY PILLOWS: My pillows were down and they both smelled of wet down feathers (gross) and BO. I could barely sleep because it was so gross so I resorted to no pillows (family had the other pillows and they said theirs were not too bad). AIRPORT: Note that you are near an airport - albeit a small one. This was not an issue overnight but I was awoken from my 3 hours of sleep (see gross pillows above) at 7 am by the high-pitch whine of a plane taxi-ing down the runway. I probably wouldn't have heard it if the AC had worked and the window had been closed. Also, delivery trucks (18 wheelers) arrived at 8 am to make deliveries, backing up with reverse beeping etc. SAFETY: When we arrived, the door to our room was open (deadbolt out), which I didn't love. But we were all too tired to ask why. DAMAGE: The ironing board (the board itself - not the cover) had a huge hole busted in the middle of it, which made ironing a hassle. If I had had more time, I would have told them but we had to skiddadle early am. BREAKFAST: My kid went down to eat to discover the breakfast was like $15 for not much (they mentioned breakfast - but not cost! - when we checked in so that was a surprise). WHILE I'm HERE: The bathroom was extremely tight which wasn't a huge deal but annoying enough to mention here. It's ironic we paid so much for this night's stay (high demand time of year with local colleges moving in) because it was one of the worst hotel stays I've had. Hotels should be places to rest and after a long, hot day, all I wanted was a good night's sleep. Well, I ended up with a migraine (rare for me!) instead. Not staying here again.
