When you walk into the place, you can smell the aroma and you’ll immediately realize why this place is rated so highly. We got the goat dum biriyani, and it might be the best biriyani we’ve ever had, as it was truly authentic (they cut it open in front of you) and was jam-packed with flavor. A lot of biriyanis go light on the rice flavors; this one definitely didn’t - we felt ourselves devouring the biriyani INCREDIBLY fast. Our waiter kept checking in on us, and we had fast, attentive, and genuinely friendly service. We also got the chicken vindaloo, and it was very good and spicy, which we enjoyed. We were there near closing, and we didn’t feel rushed at all, and it was heartwarming to see the chefs and staff all sit and eat together after the kitchen had closed, joking and having fun. 10/10 would recommend - this is a hole in the wall joint worth repeat visits - you can feel a sense of kinship the second you enter!

The food was amazing, specially the entrees and the vegetarian dishes, the service was professional but also very friendly and fast, the waiters were funny and attentive. The place itself was not as great but the food and service made up for it.Would definitely come back.

My sister and I ended up there on the evening of Ede and even though the wait was an hour we decided to wait. And not disappointed at all. We had chicken jalfrezi and sag paneer, both really delicious. Service was great.

OMG SO DELICIOUS!First time I ever tried Indian food and I fell in love with it. Their cheese naan is a must! And one of my favorites is their Paneer Makhni, make sure to order it!Delicious food to get out of the routine! Super recommended if you want to try delicious food full of exotic flavors. I loved!

I really wanted to eat Indian food, so I was super excited to try this restaurant- which made this experience even more disappointing.I asked about the Goat Dum Biryani before ordering but they never mentioned that it is White rice mixed with Goat. When your order the biryani they mix it up right in front of you.You shouldn’t advertise something as biryani when it is not biryani. The other curry I ordered also did not taste good either. Service was good though.

I’m obsessed with the Chicken Dum Biryani! It can be a little gamey at times, but it’s worth it for the flavor and overall presentation. A really special place!Parking: Take the train, don’t drive!

Everything was great! This is my second time coming here with my girlfriend and the food was just as great as the first time. Everything was full of flavor and the service was top tier. The place is also very clean and the staff are all friendly. This is a must-visit. I highly recommend the cheese naan, butter chicken, goat briyani and mango lassi of course.

This place is an absolute gem. My new favorite indian restaurant in NYC. The food is extremely flavorful and had outstanding service from Azar. The samosa chat and chole bhatura are highly recommended. Will definitely be back

My son and I stopped here on a cold, rainy day after just landing at La Guardia. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It is the kind of NY place you'd probably just walk by if you weren't looking for it. It's small and not pretentious at all. You can tell they put their money into food and not trendy decor. We had a wonderful whole fish drenched in sauce as an appetizer, well worth the price. I had a wonderful dish with their fresh made paneer and my son had butter chicken. Best garlic naan I have had too- loads of garlic.Vegetarian options: Paneer is very good.
