The mithai (Indian sweetmeats) are hit or miss. Granted the milk is different from the one used in India and the khoya (dried evaporated milk solids) as well is not the same but sometimes I find that the mithai is authentic and taste of India and at other times it is a thorough waste of money. Like it was this. Monday when I was in Jackson Heights and bought six pieces for $7. Took it home to have with hot tea and a bite of each was simply awful. I tossed it in the garbage bin. I will wait to have it on my next trip to India.

The sweet shop is good. The sweets are closer to authentic taste and feel fresh. It is usually crowded. There is eat in place inside with lots of vegetarian menus. Overall a great place. To improvise, sweet shop staff can be more efficient.

I have been going there for over 15 to 20 years They have the best Indian mithai ( sweets ) in Northeastern USA . My main reason for this post was they didn't have a proper menu on their web site so I thought it will be helpful to put up their latest menu online. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant and the indian ?? dishes are super authentic. It's not fine dining but they could easily beat out the competition if they had fine dining In a way that's good so the owner Mr Singh ( a very very pleasant person) can concentrate hands on running of this place .Vegetarian options: Palak Paneer and Saag are very tasty The portions are huge I think even is 2 fishes are ordered 4 people can eat and it will cost you total of $ 25.
Very bad owner Aunt overthere.She is very egoist person. She told me in dining they accept card but not apple pay one thing she accept apple pay inselling sweets. Ridiclous owner.Very nasty.

The woman in the front taking order was rude and had a nasty attitude. She definitely dont know how to speak with paying customers. If I could, I would give this spot a 0 solely on customer service skills. All I can say, If you’re not happy at your job, maybe you should find something else that you might be better doing.

Very unprofessional staff cleaned the table without asking have I finished or not and more over I was asked to change the seat despite starting my food. Need to change utensils and furniture specially uneven tables.
This is my go-to for indian sweets. The workers here were really nice. You can get different kinds of sweet in a box as they sell it by weight. Will always visit again and again :)

I went there today for the very first time and the lady working there was really rude. I understand the place gets very busy but that doesn’t mean they get the right to be rude at the costumers. First she took wrong order and when we wanted to add another thing, she goes “can’t take your order 3 times” and gave side eye and just walked away. Very disappointed. I don’t recommend this place.

This place should reconsider their decision on hiring such employees. If you want some growth in this business, changing your employees or training them how to behave with costumers would be the first thing that needs to be done. DONT GO THERE IF YOU LOVE YOUR SELF
