The atmosphere was clean and the food was good. Everything was served very fast, hoping to try the other location soon.

This place (Phayul restaurant), Nangma restaurant a few blocks away in Elmhurst and also LHASA LIANG FEN. These places are the best Tibetan restaurants in Queens. Also Amdo Momo truck is very good.

Secret gem - hole in the wall! Went to the one at the upper floor where you take the stairs to the restaurant. The restaurant is small with only about 6 tables and you can see the kitchen, and it was clean (the staff sanitises the table after use). The food - we tried the Ping Khatsa and Tsak Sha La Ko Hot - loved both of them. The Ping Khatsa was thin sweet potato noodles in a mild soury soup and the Tsak Sha La Ko Hot is beef and radish in herbal clear soup. Also had the butter tea (I think it’s interesting, although not my cup of tea).Definitely would come back for more! Cash only establishment. I wished they would move away from single used chopsticks one day (they do provide proper fork and soup spoon).

After reading the reviews I have to say I wasn't overly impressed. We went to the street level restaurant and the ambiance was fine. Our waiter was friendly and had suggestions about the food when asked. Had the veggie and beef momo and the noodle soup with beef. The veggie momo had the best flavor; like a mix between pierogi and samosa without the heat; tasty. I did not enjoy the flavor of the beef. It was hard and also not juicy. There weren't good dipping sauces for the momo and that was a bit disappointing. The soup broth was flavorful, but was so over loaded with noodles there was virtually no broth to enjoy. There were hardly any vegetables and beef and the quality of the beef was horrible so I would would skip beef completely at this restaurant. The tab was about $60 with tip and no drinks. Not sure if I would return, but I may give it one more go.

Tried to go to Angel without a reservation which was a fail so ended up here and good thing because this place was so good ! We tried both the steamed & fried momos and they were really good but I preferred the spicy chicken steamed version. The staff was friendly and service was fast. Atmosphere was relaxed; great spot to try Tibetan food.

There are two phayuls. This is the one on the second floor. You have to take the stairs. I love this place. Have been a regular for a while. I love the momos, butter tea, mango lassi and noodles. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu! ☺️

I had veg steamed momos and it had fillings of potato, I don’t want to have momos ever in my life again. We also ordered veg noodles, it did taste good but was again too oily.

Food was good but the customer service was horrible. There was a young waitress she behaved with us like we wanted her to give us free food. Never going back there.

Phayul’s food is really good. But their customer service is very bad. There was a server ( a young lady with braids) she behaved very rudely and we didn’t feel welcomed at all. As if she wanted to get rid of us.

I saw this place on a Instagram reel and decided to try this place. We went for Saturday lunch....got a table for two quickly. The place is simple and not crowded inside. The staff is nice and service is quick. The food deserves all the four stars. It was fresh, hot and very tasty. We tried - Crsipy Chilli potato, pan-fried veg (potato and spinach) momos, spicy tofu and veg fried rice. All the dishes every tasty and well spiced. We loved their spicy sauces that are kept at each table to amp up the already tasty dishes. My husband tried the butter tea - and explained it as 'interesting experience' We will definitely be coming back to try some more!

The food is good but they never put enough hot sauce for to go not even two hot sauce per order. This is not the first time. They always do that. If they want to charge more for the chilly sauce then they should but they disappointed us all the time.
