Oh man! This place is simply delightful. 3 thumbs up. I went there last night for dinner and I called/ordered for pick up but once I was inside and we ordered 2 margaritas (1 clasic/1 passionfruit) while waiting for our quesadillas, (which tasted banging!... we didn't wanna leave. The drinks are sooo delicious and the bar tender was not stingy with the alcohol. Definitely coming back with the GIRLS!.... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ::wink::Vegetarian options: Vegetarian menu as per request!Kid-friendliness: The place is family oriented!Parking: All around!

This place has fallen off since last year , to confirm the review about bringing the old staff back . I ordered the street corn and it was bland like they didn’t season the corn at all and just slathered on the mayo/cheese .When I asked for it to be taken off the bill , the server says he doesn’t have the authority to remove it from the bill . no refund, and conveniently no manager was on duty on a Friday night ? only remaking it or being compensated with a soda or complimentary chips were the only options lolI ordered the salmon platter . It was also extremely bland and of the cheap frozen variety . The rice and beans were luke warm, as if they were put on the plate first waiting for the salmon to finish cooking . I was overall extremely disappointed . I’m not sure if I’ve ever had Mexican food that was this terrible .I obviously won’t return or recommend this place

BRING THE OLD STAFF BACK !!!!I’ve been coming here for a while regularly. I’ve even had a small baby shower outside in the back. My family is very familiar with this place and owner, even had my uncles picture on the wall at one point. Since they remodeled and hired new staff, I no longer feel as excited to eat here as I did. The food was great as always! However, the service my family received was so poor. Our server’s name was Gustavo, he seemed more interested in talking with his friends at the bar and texting than serving us. He never checked on us, we had to keep reminding him multiple times to get us the things we’ve asked for, then he’d get it and go right back to chit chatting and texting. I could understand if the place was busy and it just slipped his mind but we were the only ones in the restaurant! So no excuse. On top of that my 1 year old accidentally spilled his food on the floor, and before I can even ask for napkins he comes to us and goes “try not to drop anything else on the floor cause….Yeah.” Big no for me. They need the old staff back or train these new ones.UPDATE: so today is 9/13/22 and they have a new server who is sooo amazing and sweet I forgot his name unfortunately but I so happen to come in on his first day on the job on Friday and he was great! He even knew the menu and specials by heart we even had to ask if it was really his first day cause that’s how awesome he was !

Stumbled upon this restaurant because I had a taste for Mexican food but wanted to avoid a Saturday night crowd. Nice decor, attentive servers. Ordered a mojito, tostones and a mixed grill dish. The mojito was among the best I've ever had. The tostones were out of this world. Full disclosure, I normally prefer my platanos yellow, sweet and slightly burnt. The tostones were crisp and the garlic sauce slapped! Glad I followed that impulse to order them. The mixed grill was steak, pork and chicken with yellow rice and black beans. Rice and beans were delicious; meats were good but I would have liked the chicken and steak to have had a bit more char on them.Even though the meal was not perfect (9/10), I would return in a heartbeat.

Just enjoyed a great dinner here with my daughter and son-in-law! I had Adelita’s kiss for a cocktail. My daughter and son-in-law shared a pitcher of red Sangria. We had beef carnitas nachos for appetizer. I had a shrimp taco and spiced pork taco both traditional style. My daughter and son-in-law shared shrimp tostadas. For dessert we shared churros with strawberries, strawberry ice cream, and drizzle of chocolate syrup. We had great service with good Spanish language music playing and great atmosphere and decor.

So loved the drinks (Adelita’s Kiss and red Sangria) salsa and chips, beef carnitas nachos appetizer, tacos and tostadas dinner, music, atmosphere, and service at this restaurant in Queens Village! I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys authentic traditional Mexican cuisine.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the outdoor dining! The quesadilla was okay; but overall a chill spot. I’ll try the nachos next time ???: @modbeauti

We ordered enchiladas, tacos, and quesadillas to eat. The tacos were a bit dry, the enchiladas verdes were good and SPICY. When I say SPICY I mean picante. I am Mexican and felt the heat. The quesadillas are made with flour tortillas, that is not a true quesadillas. They used yellow american cheese and not sure if it was intended or they were short on the regular queso fresco or what. I tried the margarita on the rocks and felt it strong. I will go back and try it again since I want to have a go to Mexican restaurant near my house without having to go to Jackson heights. We will see next time if this gets better ??‍♀️

My family and I enjoyed their tacos very much!I would definitely eat them again! I wish they were playing some Rancheras instead of salsa and that they had some coffee as I wanted a nice cup of coffee when I went there but it was all good! Grateful for their service! ¡Viva Mexico!

When this place re-opened a few years ago (late 2016 - early 2017) I loved it! I’d even go to the bar and order food by myself on a random weeknight. Now… this place has definitely taken a hit. The portions are 50% SMALLER. They no longer accept credit cards. CASH ONLY. And they actually try to charge you an extra $5 for the complimentary chips if you ask for more.Mind you the bowl of chips is so small it’s barely enough for a 5 year old child to enjoy by himself. While the food is good, the small portions make you feel like you wasted your money and could have gotten more bang for your buck elsewhere.I have a feeling this place won’t be around much longer if things continue to trend downward.

Went on Valentine’s Day weekend! The place was super dark and no Valentine’s Day decor. The service was great but the food was terrible. The meat was undercook. The quesadillas barely had any shrimp. The happy hour drinks were good. The meal was overpriced!! I’m a frequent customer. The last 2 visits have been disappointing .
