The O Lavrador Restaurant in my opinion is a local Gem for a food lovers delight. I have been a long time patron of this lovely, quaint restaurant. Where the food and atmosphere is always a intoxicating adventure whether you are in the mood for seafood poultry or beef cuisine I am sure you will not be disappointed. The OLavrador has always put in mind of the local pub were you can come in from the cold of winter or heat of summer and find a friendly face to greet you and ask you what will you be having today sir or mam. I can go on and on because I have so many memorable experiences it would be a page instead of a comment. In closing I will say just go there and treat yourself and a friend to a great dining experience.

So, we have gotten takeout from here on several occasions during the covid-19 epidemic. They've given us ample servings each time. We were able to get a take out sangria that was pretty decent. We have enjoyed the Catch of the Day, the basa fillet and steak. They've done a good job with following requested modifications to our dishes. Looking forward to dining in there again soon.

My husband & I visited Lisbon, Portugal last September and we enjoyed the dishes especially seafood so much. After we came back, we tried to yelp Portuguese restaurant around our neighborhood and we found O Lavrador with great reviews. Although the waitress can't speak English but she is really friendly and served the complimentary bread. It wasn't my type, too hard and chewy for me. We had Iberian platter for 2 ($25), Paelha Valenciana without lobster ($27) and Grilled Filet Mignon ($26) and we could't finish all and ended up taking out the Paelha. The Iberian platter was the best especially the fried calamari, it was super juicy and soft with crispy but thin layer outside. They also have Prix Fixe menu for special holiday and we would like to try next time.

Food delicious and always made to order so comes to you fresh. Every member of the staff is friendly and does their best accommodate your requests. Prices not bad either especially considering the large portions that are served.

O Lavrador is a Portugese/Spanish restaurant in Jamaica, Queens, New York. Whenever I visit my friends and family in the New York area, we love to check out new restaurants as well as favorites. The staff was very friendly but unobtrusive. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable and there is a bar on the premises that was packed on a Thursday night. We all chose to split a couple of seafood dishes that could be ordered for two or three people. Our paella was to die for and we did not leave a drop! Highly recommended.

This is a great neighborhood Portuguese restaurant. Fabulous food, good prices and abundant portions. Excellent wine list with interesting examples of Portuguese wine. The fish is as fresh as can be.

We wanted to sleep near the airport for an early flight the next morning and wanted to find a good dinner within Uber range. Saw O Lavrador on Tripadvisor,. and checked out their web site. We love Portuguese food and O Lavrador did not disappoint. The flaming sausage appetizer was to die for, and we both also had outstanding seafood entrees! Service was prompt and friendly and their bread was baked in house. We wanted a Portuguese wine for accent our dinner but had trouble choosing. Our waitress was knowledgeable and very helpful. She helped us pick a Monte Cascas which went very well with dinner! And of course after spending several days paying Manhattan prices, this little Queens restaurant seemed very inexpensive by comparison! This is our new go-to place to eat when flying out of JFK!

Interesting place! We enjoyed a mixed seafood dinner, Portuguese beer and Flan. Atmosphere was very old school but charming. Wait staff very efficient and attentive. Price was very reasonable. We had an enjoyable dinner.
