I've been going to Foo On for about 23 years from the time I was a child to an adult.The food is by far amazing compared to other local Chinese restaurants. The only way I can describe it as that other places taste good, but lack that final push over into a euphoric state of being. Foo On gives that feeling.It did use to be better years ago but I understand the chef changed, Regardless The Lo Mein is delicious, Fried Rice can be 90/10 somedays its amazing, somedays its not as amazing. Chicken, Beef, Pork, are all amazing.Shrimp is ok. General Tso is delicious.Chicken Wings are on point. Price is a really good, Tax is included so no surprises, what you see is what you pay.

Great chinese takeout spot! Try their sesame chicken - you won’t regret it.Their lunch specials are really tasty, filling, and affordable ($8.50 in April 2023). I recommend getting the fried rice and egg drop soup.I also think it’s cash only. Fast service too.

This is the best chinese I've ever eaten. I eat it so frequently because it's always so hot and fresh. I'm in love with their spicy hot oil, which is actually spicy compared to other stores. I order so much they know my order. Chicken wings with fried rice, hot sauce, mustard, and hot oil!!
3 strikes, I'm out.I've been ordering from Foo On for about a dozen years.I think I've given them a good review in the past.Prices are reasonable and they deliver quickly.But the food has become so terrible.I've had 3 bad orders in a row over the past several weeks.While I enjoy wontons, I tend to get egg drop soup because it is thick and flavorful.But the last 3 times, the soup has been watery and flavorless.I tried salt. I tried hot sauce. But watery is watery.I've had beef with oyster sauce, chicken with cashew nuts, etc.Most of their dishes might as well be called broccoli with broccoli.It overwhelms already flavorless dishes.I'd be curious what they would do with something likeshrimp with lobster sauce.But I'm done ordering from them.Maybe I'll try again in a year or so.But for now, no need. NYC has too many good Chinese takeout places to continue indulging a bad one.

I wish they were good they are right near me but their food is horrible, sorry but I need to express my opinion, the chicken tastes rubbery and has a funky taste to it, I couldn't eat it just thinking about it makes me sick. I asked for chicken fried rice they literally only put chicken and fried rice and onions... The chicken wings are mad hairy with feathers how are people supposed to eat feathers? It's sad because this is a local place and it has a lot of potential but they are not good. Oh well I tried
