This cafe is very popular. It is located across from a hospital and a lot of businesses so it tends to be busy. Each day, they have different food to choose from. You tell them what size container and what you want. I ordered rice with vegetables, chicken and peppers, and 3 wings. I always enjoy the food here. I normally come for breakfast and get a bagel. I definitely recommend you come here for a quick bite.

I stopped by a nearby hospital and was able to eat a variety of foods at a good price here in front of the hospital. The store was clean, the price was good, and there were many customers. Most of them have take out customers.

I have only had the breakfast and a turkey sandwich and I have to say that I'm fairly impressed with the breakfast -- especially the fact that they make decent scrambled eggs! Not the best but okay and at least they know what it is; many hole-in-the-wall places actually think it's just chopped up omelette-styled eggs!! And the sausage patties and links are actually flavorful on account of the oil (some people would think it "greasy" but to me that's the whole point of "hearty" foods that fill you up)...ditto the hash browns. The turkey sandwich on the other hand was the same as you can get literally anywhere else, especially since they charge extra for basics like lettuce, tomato, and onions -- and hardly give you any for it!!!But I'll definitely make this a regular stop for when I want a good old-fashioned hearty breakfast! Unfortunately it's pretty expensive at $10/lb. but most folks would probably not eat in the "hungry man" portions I do and a petite lady should be able to spend less than ten.

This place was bad….like really bad. I was walking to another place when I spotted this joint and was like hey, my namesake, gotta support and give it a try ?. Boy do I regret it. It is not really a restaurant/cafe. It’s like a cross between a bodega and a hot buffet place. The hot buffet is sorta expensive (but what isn’t expensive these days?) at $9.99/lb. I tried (literally) a spoon full of Mac and cheese, sweet plantains and a piece of fried fish which came up to almost $9. EVERYTHING was disgusting!? Nothing had any seasoning on it. The plantains were OOZING an extreme amount of oil and barely fried. The Mac n cheese was definitely made with Cheez Whiz and other imitation “cheeses”. The place was extremely hot inside. No AC and the cooler for drinks was broken so every beverage they sold was room temperature…..in July, in NYC summer heat temps of 90+ degrees. I guess they get good business because they are locate across the street from a hospital center and the area has little to NO food options. Luck them! I would not recommend.

I ordered a tunafish with lettuce tomatoes on white bread and they just gave me lettuce and tomatoes on white bread and charge me seven dollars for the sandwich. And what makes it bad is that I repeated the order three times to the lady and she’s charge me seven dollars for a Sandwich that they didn’t even give me. I could’ve went to the supermarket and bought my own lettuce and tomato and white bread and came out cheaper

Their food is really good. $7.99 a lb with a few choices for breakfast and lunch. The salmon is highly recommended.

The food served at Rae's is good but the customer service is poor. They are impatient and snatched money from your hand and no amount of pleasantry is reciprocated. I don't only buy food but i appreciate service when i am spending my money especially when i have other options.UPDATE: THE SERVICE IS NOW GREAT. They greet you with a smile and do small talk and patiently wait. Jennie at the front makes the biggest difference. Thank you for listening. We love you all and now the service match the food

Found this little "cafe" waiting for my dad.I say "cafe" with quotes because it doesn't give that feel on the inside. It's more of a corner deli with a hot food area. It's clean, and tidy. It's very popular with the hospital staff across the street. So, this was a promising sign that the food should be at least decent. I wasn't in the mood for any of the hot food items they had available. It's a fusion of Korean / Mexican / and American cuisine. It didn't look super tasty visually; but who knows? Maybe it is. I ordered the, "Godfather." It's hot roast beef, turkey, roasted sweet peppers, and provolone cheese with mayo on a hero. I substituted provolone for pepper jack. Not a fan of provolone. I also got a fresh juice, "the hangover." (I wasn't hungover, just felt it seemed tasty)The sandwich it self was what you'd expect. Nothing you'd write home about, but nothing bad. It was tasty, and hit the spot as I sat in my car waiting for my dad. My only gripe was the bread should have been toasted a bit; especially since it's a hot sandwich with items that make it kind of mushy on not toasted bread - that's just me. The juice was compromised of apple, ginger, and other things I can't quite remember. My only gripe was it had a bit too much ginger, and it sort of burnt going down. There's 3 outdoor dining spots. The staff is wearing gloves, and mask. There's limited capacity inside. Overall, not a bad little spot for food. Like I said earlier, the hospital staff seems to like it; it only got busier as I sat in my car and ate.
