The quality of the food and the service was deplorable. My sushi rice was warm and the tuna was room temperate. I ate one bite and was done. My son consumed a reasonable portion of his sushi and was ill on the flight. Even worse, when I made the waiter aware that the sushi taste odd, he asked if I knew that sushi is raw. We eat regularly and shouldn’t have ordered it in an airport. Learn from our mistake.

It took a long time to prepare breakfast because there were no ingredients. I did not wait for him, because boarding the plane had already begun and I could be late. The money was returned, but not in full

Closed early with no explanation along with all the other restaurants on the terminal. I have been working all day and I rushed to the airport for a late flight only to find that there is no food.

27$ total for a small poke bowl. Why overcharge for poke? It was good it just wasn't divine. How is this price justified?

Got stuck here for a few hours because of a delay; but Amanda treated me like a close friend. The drinks were fantastic, the sushi was delicious, and the service was excellent. Will definitely come back again when I'm in terminal 2!

Had some time to wait before my flight. Wanted something light and not to heavy. This was right near my departure gate. It did not disappoint! I ordered a spicy salmon roll and a spicy tuna roll. Flavors were great. Tasted very fresh and the spicy mayo was wonderful. Prices weren't bad at all for sushi at the airport. Yes, you will pay more than you would at the local sushi joint, but the prices are were they should be for an airport. Service was very friendly! You order off an iPad and pay beforehand, and then in a few minutes your food and drinks are brought out. I would eat here again if I needed a snack before a flight.

Quick service. Order on an iPad at each station as well as outlets for charging your devices. We are in an airport, in new york, and it is sushi so yes expect to pay a bit more then normal. I'm not sure why people are complaining today. The sushi was very good as well! Would come back again.

Sat at the bar and while looking at the menu iPad (you order and pay there) the server offered to pour me a drink while I decided on what to eat. I asked if they had a dry house rose which he let me try and then poured for me.The server was very friendly but did not tell me beforehand that one glass of wine was $20! At prices like that the staff should either okay the cost before pouring or require that you order through the iPad, like with everything else.Sushi was just okay.Go elsewhere.
Dead on a Monday morning. I sat by my lonesome at the bar and ordered from the iPad, not knowing if there were going to be any humans to interact with at any point during this meal. Would I even get the meal? This was another idle thought. I decided to risk it and ordered the eggs benedict and a cappuccino. From a Japanese restaurant? you might ask. Yes, my friend. They don't even serve sushi here before noon. Unthinkable. To my surprise, a human visited me to drop off my cappuccino and a glass of water and said my food would be right out. I waited about 15 minutes to get my food and, sadly, the eggs were tremendously overcooked. For those of you who love the ooey gooey novelty of making that perfect benny first slice, you know my disappointment. These hard yolks were no joke. Since I was in an airport, I didn't make a fuss. The meal was a little bland but not completely unpalatable. I was moderately satisfied but also let the waitress know that the eggs had been overcooked. Maybe the next person would receive better eggs. The restaurant was clean, waitress friendly, and I didn't really have any notable problems. Meh food that gets the job done and tastes lackluster but mostly fine still gets three stars from me. I'm pretty sure every restaurant in this terminal cooks up the same breakfast fare anyway.

Wait on myself then get auto charged for gratuity? For what??? Edamame was the only good thing we had and you really can't screw that up! Never coming back!

Wait time was pretty good. We were seated quickly and table games were fun. Servers were friendly and simple tuna roll was acceptable. My nigiri sushi came out on warm rice warming the fish just beyond room temperature. Worst sushi I’ve ever had. I have gotten gas station sushi and hospital cafeteria sushi and none were nearly as gross as what I was served here. If you come for pre-prepared or cooked foods it is good, but don’t get sushi at this sushi place.

Overpriced but fast, attentive service.

I was quite pleased with my meal at Shiso! The food was pricey- but of course this is expected at an airport restaurant. The experience is kind of impersonal because everything is done via tablet but the server did stop by once and was able to grab the extra things I needed. With that being said, I do still think it's a great spot to unwind if you'd just like somewhere to eat and decompress. The fish was pretty fresh and my food came out in a timely fashion. Try the Kani salad, this one was a bit different and unique!
