Food was very good but I am used to bigger portions. The jollof rice is a good portion for 5.00 without meat. Overall I would order again.

As a Nigerian, I absolutely hate doing this but a bad experience is a bad experience. As someone who has been living in New York for a while, I habitually sample different cuisines from different cultures but I was craving something that would take back home and so I made my way to two brothers african cuisine. Before arriving, I called to make sure they were still open and had the dish I wanted to devour. Once I got someone on the phone, I tried to turn the african charm on but was met with the driest voice on the other end. I proceeded to ask if they were open and had pounded yam with okra soup. For the life of me, I couldn’t believe that she grunted at me and hung up thereafter. I called again and asked if they had pounded yam with okra soup and she responded “we are open.” Trying to be mindful, I presumed that the store was busy and that’s why she was so curt. After driving 20 minutes, I arrive at the restaurant to find the restaurant empty. I have come to understand that customer service is an african specialty when it comes to food service. Pushing that aside, I made my order and waited in anticipation to enjoy the meal. In all my time eating african cuisines, I have never been disappointed so I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into it. Once I got home, I was immediately disappointed by the presentation and then I sank into it and immediately was turned off by what had just been put into my mouth (pause ?). The pounded yam was not cooked properly, the meat was tough and proved to be a challenge that I lost, and the okra soup was the driest thing and blandest soup ever made. If it was two bros in the kitchen, the meal was definitely reminiscent of that. I am sorry to those who ventured into this space and did not have an amazing experience. African food is supposed to transport you to the motherland so please try Brooklyn african cuisines like BUKA or if you’re in Harlem try AfriKine or if you find yourself in the Bronx, try Papaye. These spots should not disappoint.

Visiting from Delaware and thought I’d try some food from this spot ! It was terrible. This was the hardest meat I’ve ever had in my life. It was inedible and It taste sour. After two bites my sister and I lost our appetites and decided we would rather go out and find something a little safer to eat. In the pic a piece of the meat looks like the strip left over from a Brazilian wax. Why would you ever think its ok to serve this. This was no where near worth the $20 per platter we spent with your restaurant. Taste 0/10, quality 0/10 . Wouldn’t recommend!

First time having traditional African cuisine... food was good - "jel of rice and croca fish" ... (not sure if I spelt that correct lol)

Before i ordered my food i called the restaurant to find out if they make egusi soup without meat and i was told yes, when i got to the restaurant i asked if they prepared it separate from the meat or is everything mixed together, the lady told me she prepared my food separate because I ordered with no meat only to come home and find pieces of meat in my food so i did not even eat it. She lied just to make a sale which is very disgusting. I don’t eat meat, i could’ve been allergic etc. you could kill someone giving them something to eat their not supposed too. This was my first time trying African Food and it definitely was not the experience I imagined having. What was done was very unprofessional and shows the lack of respect for customers choices. I Spent $48 in this restaurant and it was a complete waste. Also my family did not like the food. The food had no taste, no flavor! Very dissatisfied and disappointed.

The place doesn't like like much from the outside but when you get in it's really good. The food was sooo nice and authentic. I had their pounded yam and efo riro with assorted meat. It tastes soo good. The wait time is not too long also

Best African food I have tried in Queens. The portions are large and the food taste really good and traditional. The staff are amazing especially Hama (or Hana?) she is amazing, very professional and kind. They use Uber Eats and the delivery is great! This is the vegetable soup. I am excited to try other meals.

I ordered a goat pepper soup with a side of plantains and fufu. I ordered on ubereats, so I ordered moi moi and put fufu in the notes. The soup was delicious and spicy. I like my meat tender and I'm glad that I ordered when I did because the meat was tender by that time. I ordered 30 mins before closing. The soup was extremely spicy but the fufu helped to calm the pepper down. I really needed the spice, so I didn't mind. The yellow plantains were pretty good. Standard sweet plantains. I will order from here again.
