This was our favorite restaurant for the past two years, but not anymore! My husband and I brought our mothers for Mother's Day dinner and we spoke highly about Opus only to be VERY disappointed. Opus removed the best Sushi on Long Island from the menu! When did that happen? Our family was seated at 4:30pm and it took 3 hours to be served! We asked to speak with a manager when we waited over 45 minutes for dinner to be served after the appetizers. Not one manager came to our table to speak with us, but yet we watched 3 managers walk around to speak to guests at all the other tables. Very rude and inconsiderate! We were assigned 2 servers and yet they were so "overwhelmed" by the number of tables they worked that our service suffered. If Opus expected 1,100 guests for this holiday then why were they short staffed? Tonight's experience is why we will never go back to Opus and we will no longer recommend it to our friends. Very unfortunate.

Terrible service at the bar. They need to hire new bartenders. Ignored us for a while.

Went to dinner last night with some good friends .Food was good, atmosphere was nice. The people that sat us at the table were nice. The servers started out good. Then they scattered. Never came back to pour the wine. Can you believe the bus boy did it.He was amazing. Servers never came back to bring the sauces, or check to see how we are doing. For a Scotto restaurant, deeply disappointed .

Old world high quality steak house with modern flair and an upscale, open & airy atmosphere. Fixed price menu makes luxury affordable and the portions are still "main menu" sized. We had shrimp cocktail and skirt steak, both the best we've ever had. Desserts were just "ok" but we were on food overload already. AND we both took take home bags with half our steaks. Wonderful experience end-to-end.

Celebrated my birthday dinner here with a few couples! From start to finish absolutely perfect! A round table for 12 was a win! The service was exceptional. They carried vintage wine to go along with our amazing tomahawk steak. Truly a wonderful dinner, great food, and atmosphere.

We went for our Anniversary it was was pretty underwhelming we've seen pictures of the sparklers and we got a thin lil candle. Last year they offered a glass of Champagne at the start of our meal. Apparently they have new management and it's not meeting the bar. But not the big issue, my husband is now violently ill after having their food.

Amaris was an excellent waitress Very attentive and friendly which made our anniversary dinner very enjoyable The other servers unfortunately we didn't get their names but were also very attentive and professional Overall a delicious enjoyable dinner

They changed menu and took off baked potato. Why would you do that at a steakhouse? My wife has celiac and in past they always gave her cucumbers instead of pita. Now they have a new menu and policy or nothing except pita. I had a shrimp cocktail and they were 4 small shrimp. We have been regulars there for last 2 years. We wont be going back.

The food here is always good. My latest experience was not the best though. I made dining reservations through the application with no issues. Upon arrival I was taken to a table within the bar area. I was not happy with the location as it was the second table away from the bar itself and there was no partition. I requested another table because of the anticipated noise. We were quickly reseated, but again just outside the dining area. Seemed fine though. Ordered appetizers and a nice bottle of wine. When the appetizers arrived so did an onslaught of patrons attending a party. All standing around our table and conversing. Unbelievable! Complained to management and he resolved the matter by moving us again. And yes finally into the dining area. Either the Maître D is new or taking a hostess, role it was very unsettling. Our waiter Sammy was fantastic though, so the dining experience improved quickly. Great steaks as always. They changed the menu eliminating all sushi which is okay as it is a steakhouse. They also changed the octopus recipe. It was good but the old version was better. Make sure to order the mash potatoes with truffles, it was excellent. Oh, and just as an observation, throughout our diner no one was seated at the center tables in the dining area. Why?

3rd visit:I returned to Opus last night for a "Happening"event. They hosted a Scotch dinner, Belvenie scotch. The dinner was supposed to start at 6:30p, it started 45 minutes late. The courses were slow to arrive and cold on arrival. The main course was a steak which was tough and fatty. I was very disappointed in the evening. Not worth what we paid for it. I missed my final course because I had to leave at 9:00 pm. I won't be going back here for an event again, not well run at all.--------------------2nd visit:So, we went back to Opus and our experience was a bit different. The food was still excellent but the overall experience was less then excellent. The waitress came over and gave us the specials. They're was a nice steak that we were interested in. The waitress never provided the price, and I will admit, I never asked. We each ordered one of the steak specials. After a few the beverage manager came over and asked if we are sure we wanted two of these steaks as they are large, 24oz bone in, I didn't think that was that big for two. Still, no mention of the price or that the steak special was for two! The steak was great, and it was a lot but we made adoggy bag. Here was the shocker, when they bill came. Those steaks were $220 each. I was expecting around $125. So, although the food was great, the communication was not. Although this problem was on both sides, this experience will likely deter us from returning to Opus in the future.----------------------------One of the best steakhouses I have eaten at in a while. Apps were excellent, steaks were great, drinks a bit weak. Service was exceptional. Highly recommend, but be warned, it's not cheap.

Food and service was excellent. Their prix fix had lots of choices and was a very good value. Didn't love where they seated us because behind us to the side was where they collected finished dishes etc. Take them inside, not where people are eating. We didn't ask to move, but should have. Other than that, it was very nice

we had the price fixed dinner. Everything was delicious. Selection was great, wait staff was awesome, Drinks were great, atmosphere beautiful, portions nice would like to see little votives on the tables. I think that would help the atmosphere be a little more romantic.

My first time there. Fantastic! Service was exceptional and the food phenomenal. Petit filet, West African prawns were delicious. But the biggest standout were the Brussel sprouts with Greek honey. A must have!
