“SoupySoup is the first place my family goes when we come to the area to stock up on lunches for the week. The Classic Beef Chili is think and delicious. My son loves the Carrot Apple Soup and my other kid and my wife love the Rosemary Lentil Stew - both as think and delicious as the Chili (but both vegetarian). As if it were possible to make a perfect soup even more perfect, be sure to pair with his Dinner Crispy-Roll - perfect toasted with a little butter and then dipped in the soup. But wait - if the homemade garlic butter is available do NOT pass that up, making a perfectly perfect soup even more perfect. And yeah, pick up a pint of ice cream to bring home while you're there.”

“Benji and Jake's is amazing!!!!! From the second you even see the exterior you get such a warm, charming feeling. Upon entering everyone is so friendly and greets you with a smile. It's decorated so well with so many cute touches. There's an upstairs and downstairs, both flows so well and extremely thought out. From the crowd it Seems really popular too (I can understand why). Upstairs has a bar, tables and an incredible outside deck area overlooking the water. The back even has a sandbox. Now, for the food part. The menu had some pretty phenomenal choices. My table ordered chicken, the onion soup, salads and lots of other sides. Everyone was making those food noises that you only hear when they're loving their food. Lol. Nobody looked up from their plates because they were loving loving loving what they got. The owner kept coming over making sure everyone was happy and satisfied. Like where do you get that kind of service these days. Nowhere. But there. It's such a great dinning experience. I highly highly highly recommend!!!! Oh and the onion soup is VEGETARIAN !!!!! It's incredible. Go try it. You'll be thanking me. The whole experience is sooooo wonderful!!! A+++++++*****pic is of midway eaten food so it looked a billion times better before. “Absolutely love this pizza place! I come from NYC and still consider this pizza place, in a rural town 90 miles away from Manhattan, to serve some of the best NY style pizza ever. The owner got quite mad at me once for using the bathroom without having ordered anything, but that's to be expected from a restaurant ”

“Besides the staff always friendly. The view on the lake is beautiful. I absolutely love the seafood arrabiata and goat cheese and beet salad. The seafood dish is organic pasta, spicy San marzano tomatoes, calamari, scallops and shrimp. The salad is fresh beets, goat cheese, bib lettuce and a vinaigrette dressing. Who would have guessed a pub on a lake in the Catskills would have a seafood pasta dish that could rival any top notch Italian restaurant anywhere in the world.”

“If there is any place to spend your time and money, its a place like this. Great enviornment, great staff, delecious cocktails and cider. You simply can't go wrong. Even if you want just an app a drink and a good view. This is the place. It's very hard to find consistently good food and service in the catskills. The owners put their best foot forward here.”

“We where down visiting an attraction and went to Ciao Bella by mistake and it one of the best mistakes of our lives. We unfortunately where going to have to leave as my fussy boys couldn't find anything they would eat on the menu and the server was so accommodating with suggests to help us out. The 4 of us ended up ordering the chicken parm which the server had mentioned. He gave us all a small house salad so we could try how good it was, and was it. Salad so fresh and enjoyable then came the parm and it is by far the best chicken parm I've ever had. My middle child said man it may be worth the drive back down here again (1 1/2 hr) drive. Oh it sure would be can't wait to return.”

“My Husband and I went there this past Sunday for our anniversary. The food was very Delicious and fresh. The atmosphere was very romantic, the center pieces were lovely and I really appreciated the Customer Service. They also gave us a complimentary dessert after we told them it was our anniversary. “Great service and even better food. Traditional diner classics with Greek specialties as well. My family of four enjoyed the sandwiches and dinner specials as well. A good sign of quality diner is the way they make a classic cheese burger - and their burgers are perfect. But you need to leave room for their desserts! If not take them to go - you won’t regret it! This has been my go to diner for past three years.”

“This is the best restaurant in the Catskills! I live in Brooklyn NY and eat in Michelin star restaurants all the time (sry for being a Dbag). George is the man! OK, to start the bread service is amazing, do not sleep on that. You like gyro? come here! Its so good and portions are legit .. and that is putting the cart before the horse b/c the greek salad (included with gyro entree) is amazing. BUT .. the deserts THE DESSERTS are the so good .. in truth you either know or you don't know but this place is amazing!!”

“This roast beef sandwich was fabulous! We needed a snack . My cousin who lives in the Catskills told us about this sandwich. I had not idea a place in the middle of the forest would be so good . The meat was tender and slices so fine . The service was good . The ambiance was rustic as it should be .”

“Loved Chick E Ribs. Great service, excellent prices and delicious BBQ. Tried them for the first time on a Thursday & immediately and back to try more menu items on Friday. Loved it. Great environment, you can see the big smokers out back. They even have picnic tables available outside. Very clean place, kind & helpful staff. Can’t say enough good things. 10/10, highly recommend.(Seriously, the prices, homemade sides and quality are all incredible… stop by Weds-Sun and see for yourself).”

“We were looking for somewhere to grab dinner while traveling. Wife found Star online and it looked like a good spot. Please don’t take this the wrong way; the onion rings were VERY GOOD, and that was the worst part of our meal. Buffalo wings were awesome (but get there early because we heard they sell out quickly). Our burgers were great, and the sweet potato fries were the best we’ve ever had. Our waitress/bartender was very attentive but not overbearing. It’s definitely a “locals” kinda place, but travelers (like us) are made to feel like locals.”

“We had the BEST night at Bridge and Tunnel Brewery Liberty NY Catskills! If anyone ever goes to the Catskills you NEED to go here.The owner, Rich, knows how to brew beer. ? The stouts are absolutely scrumptious. The Hefe is crisp and the IPAs are tasty without being too strong. So much balance in every brew he makes. There wasn’t a single thing that was bad. He really is a master at his craft.Everything was incredible and the space itself was beautiful and immaculate. It’d be an amazing venue for a show or an event. Nice, open, and immaculately clean. Rich takes pride in this space and place and it shows.Chris, our tender for the night, was absolutely amazing too! He even serenaded us with some Simple Minds and INXS. ?He was knowledgeable about ALL the beers on the menu and was more than happy to give us a sample before we committed to a pint.So glad we got to spend time there and enjoy an amazing night with amazing people. ❤️”

“My partner and I live in NYC and have land in Bethel. Forage Pizza is our go-to restaurant in the area. You’d be hard pressed to find brick oven pizza this good even in the city. We eat here every time we’re nearby and sometimes even on our way to or from other areas. If you want beer or wine to go with your pizza there’s a great store just across the street that has a really nice selection of local offerings. Enjoy!”

“The food here is delicious! Stopped here on way back to NYC from Syracuse. The woman was very kind and offered us the daily special - arroz con pollo (rice w/ chicken) + salad + tostonoes (mashed fried plantains). We ordered 2 specials and 1 hamburger w/ fries. The presentation of food was beautiful and the food was delicious- fresh and flavorful. The tostones had mashed avocados on it. The salad had some lemon squeezed on it. The chicken in the rice was pulled with some veggies. The hamburger was delicious!!! Had minced sautéed onions - overall delicious. 3 meals plus drinks for under $50. Very clean too. I will be coming back on my next trip up. We ate so fast that I missed taking a picture of the food presentation. Don't miss this spot!”

“I grew up in Queens and have sampled Pizza from all over New York City, and every time I have a slice when I'm visiting this small town of Jeffersonville I am blown away by how good this Pizza is! Crispy thin crust perfect balance of sauce and cheese and I love that the sauce is just a little on the sweet side. One of my favorite pizzas from anywhere!”

“Really good pizza. Haven't been to every kosher pizza place in the Catskills, but hard to imagine there's anything much better. Even had fresh vegetables in the salad bar. The soft serve ice cream was odd though, the proportions were off and it was too dense.”

“This is some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I lived in NYC for 15 years and basically only ate Thai food. This beats all of the places there! And, friends who come to visit agree.Dietary restrictions: My husband has terrible food allergies (including onions and garlic) and Sweet Basil is always accommodating. “We don't live in the area, but over the years whenever we're passing through we make sure to stop-in for a meal. As the name says, this is a Diner, and a half-century ago when such establishments were common that wouldn't have needed any explanation. The establishment is family-run and very reasonably priced, sometimes things take a little longer to get to the table, but that's because they have a large menu and make things fresh. Breakfast is always cooked to order, lunch specials include a hot or cold beverage and house-made rice or bread pudding, with whipped topping at no additional charge, while at dinner dishes like their beef brisket and pot roast are classics, again accompanied by generous sides including their house-made chicken soup, which seems to have a different pasta in it on each visit, but is consistently good. The facilities are clean, there are booths and a counter in the main room, and plenty of tables in the large side room, while a rotating case displays their desert cakes, a slice of which is included with their dinner specials. I know they do take-out, but I've never tried it, part of the point of a diner is to dine there and eat the food while it's hot! We've been there often enough to spot the regulars, and while we don't always agree with their politics, we leave such matters aside and enjoy the food and service, both of which are worth a detour!”
