This spot doesn't pop out at you, but it's easy to find. It's right across the side street from Dairy Queen and not too far from Frank's Gourmet Hot Dogs. I highly recommend the Lebanese Street Box. It's decent sized portions of his specialties. Plus it comes with a plethora of dips and sauces (and super yummy pita chips), which is especially great if you love to dip your food like me. The Lebanese chicken was so tender, moist, and flavorful. All the vegetables in my salads were fresh. I loved the crunch of the onions and peppers and burst of red and yellow from the tomatoes. Grape leaves are a favorite of mine and I was quite surprised with the different flavors I tasted in these ones. Lots of warm spices that I really enjoyed; I definitely want to have them again. The rice and lentils were also amazing! Just me, order a Street Box and find out for yourself. I finished about half my Street Box and was full, but didn't feel weighed down like I do when I eat other take-out food. My mom thoroughly enjoyed her Mujadara Bowl. It was a very decent portion and was loaded with fresh flavors. When we arrived, I read the sign in front of the building and texted the number for pickup. Poppa Pete brought our order right out to car. Even though our encounter was short, I could tell that he enjoys making food for others to enjoy. Lucky me, I enjoy eating his Lebanese cuisine! Can't wait to go back for more.

Just ordered lunch after reading recommendations. They were definitely spot on. We ordered the Vegan Street Box and a Mujadara bowl. Both were loaded and extremely tasty. The street box was a good variety of Lebanese dishes and a great sample of healthy cooking. The bowl was plentiful and delicious. If you are looking for something different, I would highly recommend this friendly and delicious restaurant.

Got a tip to eat here by someone who helps out in their kitchen. This person doesn't give their recommendations lightly so I knew I had to give it a try. I ordered pick-up and it was seriously ready in 10 minutes. When I pulled up, the masked server came right out to help me, I didn't even have to call. When I arrived home with the chicken Street Box and the Vegan Street Box we opened them right up together. The only visible difference was the chickpea salad instead of the chicken. The vegan tahini was DELICIOUS and the beef grape leaves were decadent. All the flavors were great and textures exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely get another chicken dish next time, and some additional falafel!

First experience enjoying a meal from this place was great! The avocado hummus was so fresh and delish! Also had the black bean falafel wrap and was very flavorful and huge! Will definitely be ordering more frequently for sure! So happy to have found this place

Although google maps got me a little lost (turn right or left at the Dairy Queen and it's on the left side) my order was ready when I got there! They came out right away to attend to me and brought me my order and a card machine so I could pay. The staff was wearing a mask which was appreciated and in under 5 minutes I was on my way home to enjoy my dinner! The Lebanese street box is a good sampling of the Lebanese food, especially since I am unfamiliar with the cuisine. The food was delicious although a little on the pricey side and I ran out of tzatziki so I will probably ask for an extra one next time. The ingredients tasted fresh, the chicken was my favorite and overall I enjoyed the small sampling of everything, I love a family style meal! Would definitely eat here again.

First time trying this place - got the Street Lebanese Box and it was tasty! The falafels were perfect, especially with the variety of sauces given. The hummus was so smooth and delightful you could taste how fresh it is...definitely tasting and feeling the difference between store bought hummus and the super fresh stuff. The tzatziki and tabouli were delicious and the whole meal felt pretty remarkably healthy and delicious. The baked pita chips were a nice touch to give it that extra bit of indulgence. Highly recommended!

After all the 5 star reviews on Yelp, I admit to expecting more from this restaurant. We were disappointed with the flavor of the food and it's relatively high cost. This is a strictly take-out joint. No frills. They are working out the rear of a building - behind the JJ restaurant which I'm guessing is now closed. The gentleman saw our car and brought out the order to us. So we didn't even see inside. My guess is that it's a kitchen only at this time. No dining area. Not yet anyway. The order for 2 Lebanese box - $15 each, pulled chicken wrap $9.75, grape leaves wrap $9.75, plus tax came to over $53.00. I've ordered similar items at nearby Shawarma City on the Boulevard or up at the 755 Market Lebanese Restaurant in the Falls, and enjoyed the food way, way more. And paid way, way less. Though the Lebanese Street box gives a sampling of mostly vegetarian items, you get very little of each. You get a large fluffy pita, which is pennies per pita. The 2 fresh herb falafels were so BLACK in color and hard to the bite. My friend feels they were fried in over-used cooking oil that turns food dark if used over and over. Falafels, and most fried food fritters, should be golden brown in color at most. The black bean falafel was just a shade darker black than the 2 fresh herb ones! We didn't like the black bean falafel either - hard as a rock and bland. The pita chips were also over baked, some close to burned. The few items we did enjoy in the Lebanese Box were so tiny in portion size unfortunately- the tatziki, tobuleh, mujdara, chicken, and hummus. We wished there was more of them to really satisfy. The grape-leaves wrap was good, but no wow factor. I've tasted better stuffed with beef grape leaves at other Mediterranean eateries. This wrap satisfied a hungry tummy but just meh in taste. Friend and I also split the pulled chicken wrap. It was flavorful. Probably the best item of the 4 things we ordered. Chicken seasoned well. Large portion, we couldn't finish it all. Would I go back here? Probably not. That's me. You be the judge. Honestly review.

Amazing! First time ordering and we were blown away with the quality and value. Ordered the Lebanese Street box and the Fresh Herb Falafel Wrap. Fresh, plentiful, and oh so delicious! Will definitely be ordering again!

I had a little problem finding this place, so I added pictures of the front and the corner. The food is awesome. We got the street box and a pulled chicken wrap. I love how the box comes with a bit of everything good in the world, as well as all the fixins you could possibly need--hot sauce, tahini, tzatziki, and dressing. The the falafel and grape leaves were my favorite, but everything is fresh and delicious. Definitely worth a try!

So delicious! Everything was extremely fresh and did not feel guilty afterwards. The Deeb grape leaves were my favorite. Will definitely be back

I first gave this place a try when the owner was working out of a friend's kitchen in order to get his business started--during a pandemic. With how restaurants were struggling I thought, this guy must be crazy. So of course, I was intrigued. I've gotten take out from Poppa Pete's twice now, the most recent being from his own location. The address is on Kenmore Ave but Poppa Pete's is in the back with the door facing University Ave. What to get: probably anything on the menu but I suggest starting with the Lebanese Street Box which gives you a good sampling including 2 Fresh Herb Falafel, 1 Black Bean Falafel, 2 Deeb Family Grapeleaves, Lebanese Chicken, Mujadara, Hummus, Tabbouleh, side salad, pita chips, served with a pita, tzatzki, tahini and hot sauce. This dish can also be ordered Vegan. The falafel were probably my favorite. They had a very crisp exterior and soft/fluffy interior. But everything in that box was just incredible tasting and so fresh. On my previous visit I enjoyed a side of Mujadara and the Vegan Loaded Wrap, which included Tabbouleh, Handmade Falafel, and Poppa's Hummus spread with lettuce, red cabbage, tomato, onion, cucumber, tahini, and vegan tzatziki served in a pita wrap with a side of pickles and pita chips. Order online, by phone, or third party delivery app. It's to-go only right now but the owner told me that he has plans for indoor dining in the future.

Amazing amazing and did I mention amazing? I got the vegan street box and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The falafel was crunchy and flavorful, tzatziki sauce was out of this world (I haven't had any since going vegan so it was a real treat!).... to sum it up everything was delicious

I can't express enough, how impressed I am with Poppa Pete's. I rarely order take-out, purely for the reason that the majority of takeout food offered in Buffalo is unhealthy. Then I stumbled across this place.... what a joy! Healthy Lebanese food just down the road?!? Yes please!! There certainly hasn't been many middle eastern restaurants around until now, and boy did Pete knock it out of the park! From the creamy delicious hummus to the mouthwatering and fresh Tabbouleh...I'm literally hooked! I ate here yesterday, but somehow woke up this morning with this food and all its glorious flavors, on my mind. There's no doubt that I will be back for more!!!

This is definitely going into the rotation. Great, filling and authentic Lebanese food. This time, we got the Pulled Chicken pita, the Grape leaves pita (with meat) and the Vegan Lebanese Street Box. Meant to take pics but we inhaled it. Will take and add next time. And there will be a next time! The chicken was well-seasoned, seriously great flavor. Wrapped up in a great pita (fluffy but firm) with hummus, tzatziki, lettuce, onion, tomato, cucumber tahini and I think red cabbage. Came with hot red sauce. So good. The grape leaves pita had the same toppings and sauces with several of their awesome grape leaves stuffed with rice and ground beef. Again, perfectly spiced and so great with all the veggies and sauces. The box was literally perfect. Everything was amazing. Would eat every part of it again. The portions are huge and it also came with a huge soft pita and pita chips. Okay those pita chips are bomb guys! Their hummus is seriously some of the best I have ever had also. My boyfriend is a weirdo who usually doesn't care for it and even he liked it. This place has fresh and delicious food. I feel full but not heavy. Flavorful food you can feel good about eating.
