Went there on Sunday for a quick little bite. Sat down and looked at two of their menus, both hard covered and paper menu. I asked the server for a Bento box. She said no Bento boxes on Sunday. No where on either menu did it state that. Was very disappointed, Needless to say we only ordered an appetizer and left.

Surprised by this place after it was rated so well. I took a takeout order from here and the inside is very nice and I would eat here. The food however was ok. We ordered tofu teriyaki and it was just ok. Mashed potatoes as 1/3 of it was a bit odd but maybe traditional Japanese? Not sure but I didn't really like it. We also got miso soup which was good and a peanut avocado roll which was also good. What really threw me off was the price. What you see above was $37 which I couldn't comprehend. This is far more expensive than other Japanese restaurants in the area. Overall it was ok but for the price I would not recommend coming here.

Had been here when the restaurant was previously named other things, and I was not a fan. But since it has become Umai it is totally different. The sushi was fresh. The ambience was excellent. The service was great will definitely be back! I hope they keep the quality that we received when we went last week.

Very nice local sushi spot in kings park. Placed online pickup order. Has a parking lot in the back of restaurant. Waited a few minutes once I got there for pickup which was fine. Tried the california, Boston, chicken tempura and spicy crunchy shrimp rolls, all delish. Pineapple vegetable rice so delish! Miso soup always good. Food arrived hot and well presented in to-go containers. Staff even supplied utensils, chop sticks and 4 cups of soy sauce. We recommend!

I stopped in on my way to a meeting. This place is a must check out. The food was awesome, fresh, and nicely presented. The staff were pleasant and attentive. I usually go to Kotobuki glad I made a wrong turn. I'll be back.

We had sushi and pad thai noodles which were the best I’ve ever had! I ask them to make the noodles spicy and the taste was perfect. I would highly recommend Umai!
