Just stopping by here to give the Jambon Beurre (ham and butter - with delicious swiss (Jarlsburg?) cheese, grainy mustard, mayo and cornichons ) sandwich a thumbs up! Nice decent size, baguette is amazing and fresh, all other ingredients super high-quality, comprising a very, very delicious and satisfying sandwich which I am eating in my car because I couldn't wait.

A little pricey, but great staff and food!

This store is my happy place. The team is so kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. The products are unmatched in quality, they offer a huge variety of specialty products—from luxardo dark cherries & green peppercorns for au poivre to truly special caviar. The sandwiches are incredibly good & reasonably priced for the caliber of ingredients and the finesse/skill with which they are prepared. From a business standpoint I am now able to offer menu selections that I might not have before bc I know now that Cheese Louise will have the necessary components. I’m so thrilled to be able support an awesome local business vs. order specialty ingredients online only to wonder if I’m going to receive a quality product and if it will arrive in time. Thanks for being awesome Cheese Louise!!

Nice find near the Catskills! While small and not place to sit in the winter, it has a full selection of cheeses and cured meats, lots of fun items for creative cooking, and really nice sandwiches and soups. don't miss the baguettes -- they stole the show. Staff was friendly and it was easy to phone in the order ahead of time.

Unassuming spot in an unremarkable strip of stores with a fantastic selection of cheeses, meats, and comestibles. The woman who helped us was incredibly knowledgable about the meats on offer, and gave us great tips for deciding how much to buy. We ended up buying so many special treats and delights!

Known for their cheese success, this Kingston, NY gem on Rt28, also offers a wonderful selection of prepared foods, soups, oils, olives, crackers, etc. So if you want to make a killer charcuterie board, Cheese Louise is your haven for all things 'board'- or something else you can create. At Cheese L., you pick the cheese you want and you buy it--what's complicated about that? However, if you're cheese lover, standing in front of a counter filled to the brim with an assortment of cheeses is both a blessing and a curse. Soft or hard; milky or funky; aged or mild- there are options here. Oh, and there's no American cheese here! (Not that I saw any). This place really comes into its own as THE spot to offer a nice international cheese selection. The staff is super knowledgeable and were ready to guide me through their extensive offering. While you're shopping, you could be jamming to Barry White or Donna Summer playing from the music playlist in the background. I purchased a small piece of a Portuguese Zimbro to try at home and it was incredibly silky and price was fair at about $8+.These folks obviously explore cheeses from many different regions and beyond making it a paradise for the adventurous. Plus they're making waves in this area. So if cheese and all things board is what you're looking for, this spot might be your jam. After all, (some) sweet dreams are made of cheese.

I just visited their new location in Rhinebeck. I think they will do well. The store has everything you would need for a high end chacuterie board. Cheese, meat, spreads, pate, crackers, etc. This is an upscale store, so prices are more than the local grocery. We tried proscuitto, soppressata, 2 cheeses, and duck pate. All were fresh and excellent quality.

You can tell a lot about a restaurant as soon as you walk into it -Nice bright, clean eclectic look to the place- it is a lot of fun eating here but more importantly-food was great - nice artisan take and major improvement on some traditional comfort food - I had Vermont cheddar and Muenster grilled cheese- my wife had the Lobster grilled cheese- one of the best we have ever had -would def recommend

This is an amazing specialty cheese shop with an array of options as well as other foods. They even had a small basket of odds and ends for a dollar or two to give the opportunity to try something new, as well as a few things out to sample. A lovely shop, I can't wait to return.

Great gourmet market with cheeses and so much more! Plus wonderful staff, always available to assist.Updating my previous review to say that Cheese Louise is better than ever. Delicious prepared foods, fresh roast turkey many days, and the same friendly service. Plus an excellent cheese selection with local and international choices.
