This is the best Mexican place in Kingston. There is a lot of authentic Oaxacan fare. They could do a little better with presentation of a few things, it's real home style Oaxacan food without much flair. The Pozole is a standout, probably the best in duchess or Ulster county. They also make one of the best chile rellenos I've had. The horchata is not too sweet, and the guacamole is solid and fresh , but not stand out. The tortillas are homemade and really special. The tortilla chips are also really good. They also have a sufficient tequila and Mescal selection. The owner and staff are extremely sincere and courteous. We're lucky to have authentic Mexican food like this.Vegetarian options: Guacamole, quesadillas, basically everything can be done without meat. If you're a vegan it might be tougher.

I certainly didn’t expect to find authentic Mexican food in Kingston, NY. Met the chef who BTW is the owner and immediately understood why the food is so good and authentic. I felt like I was at the family dining table and the mother came out from the kitchen to make sure we were satisfied. What an amazing meal.

We happened upon this gem in Kingston and it was a great dining experience. The place itself fits into the 'Hole-in-the-wall' category, albeit a bigger hole - this is meant as a compliment, places like that are usually brilliant. This one is no exception to that rule : really delicious dishes, great service, good prices. Try the homemade tortilla's, they are themselves really good. Long story short : go to this restaurant when you are in the neighbourhood, you won't regret it

I had zero idea this restaurant existed, let alone that it was a chain. All I can say is, the staff is super friendly, the food is cooked in generous portions and it reminds me of the sort of thing my grandma used to make. The only drawback is that service can be slow, but honestly, if you've ever lived in or near Mexico, that's just the lifestyle.If you want Mexican food that tastes authentic without paying an arm and a leg, this is your spot!Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs if you are in need.
My first time at this location visiting from California the server was polite but the service needs some work it took awhile to get a couple of tacos and had the Chicken soup and could not finish just did not look pleasant to eat and needed to be bit seasoning.
