I've been coming here since the 80s with my family. It is a private club. Menu isn't huge but the food is good and reasonably priced as are the drinks at the bar. There are dinner specials on some nights, often prime rib which is good here. On holidays like mothers and fathers day they usually have a limited special menu.

My Dad is a longstanding member and my sister and I went with him for Easter lunch. The place is large and didn't have to wait for a table. The waitstaff is very efficient and fast. Brought rolls, butter, and our drink orders within minutes of being seated. The menu was a choice of maybe 4 entrees, which we knew ahead of time. We all ordered something different: my sister got ham, dad got breaded shrimp, and I got chicken w biscuits. Only my dad's meal included a salad and his choice of a side. My sister and I received no salad and had no choice regarding side. The ham entree included 2 big slices of ham, a scoop of sweet potato mash and a brown (?) gravy. Chicken and biscuits were 2 small biscuits w a scoop of mashed potato and green and wax beans on the side. My Dad enjoyed his tossed salad, baked potato and breaded shrimp and it all looked really good. My sister and I had a less positive experience. Mine arrived cold (the server happily took it but it went from cold to just lukewarm). The chicken wasn't chicken, though, it was turkey! We got there 30 minutes after the event started and maybe they ran out of chicken? I had my sister taste the meat and she said it was definitely turkey. They had to make large quantities of everything, so it's not a surprise nothing was made from scratch, relying on potato flakes, gravy from a jar, and beans from a can for my dish, it was disappointing, though. If I had to do a do-over, or find myself back there, I would find out what's included w each entree, to make a better choice, which is what I would recommend to anyone who dines there.

We had the best Reuben there! Highly recommend.

Great food and service for this price point, if your looking for a gourmet meal you took the wrong turn. Been a member for 35 years and no regrets. The first review was hilarious.

We came as guests of a member and were very disappointed. Our server offered a list of sodas and brought a Diet 7-Up rather than the Diet Sierra Mist I ordered. When we questioned the difference, she shrugged and said "Same difference". No, no they are not; I prefer the drink I ordered. I'm still not sure if she offered something they didn't have and was trying to bring what she thought was the nearest thing, or if she just brought the wrong thing and didn't care to fix her mistake. I had difficulty ordering, something that is not usually a problem for me, because the menu was so limited. So much of what was on the menu was very similar to other things that were on the menu, that it offered limited options. I briefly decided to order a reuben, but changed those plans when they wouldn't let me change the type of cheese on it. So instead I ordered an appetizer with plans to fix myself a more substantial meal after returning home, because literally nothing else sounded appealing to me. My partner ordered broiled haddock, which he thought tasted "old and dry", like it had been frozen a long time. The sides offered didn't include soup or salads, which was disappointing to someone like my partner who doesn't eat high carb potato or pasta salad sides. No plans to return for more.

Place is run like an unorganized sh8t show. Horrible service and wait time to get seated for a table was over 3 hours, with brainless hostess unable to provide wait times because it's "Overpriced Lobster Night". I don't think she could even count or tell time, let alone manage a wait list! I pay $70 membership to be subjected to unorganized uncleanly chaos - Not worth it!! The board needs to rethink the management and hire staff!

The food here is severely lacking. I got the prime rib (I heard great reviews), it was quite possibly the worst I had ever had. It was a gray color, and VERY bland. This place is the reason white people get made fun of for not seasoning their food. I couldn’t taste even the tiniest bit of seasoning. Absolutely disgusting. Out of all the seasonings in the world, and they can’t even use basic salt and pepper.

Lakewood Rod & Gun you have an outstanding employee, TJ in the kitchen. TJ went out of his when l called about the menu. He took steps to please your customers, in being thoughtful and flexible.. It's those little steps that make a business a great business. Thank you for the wonderful customer service.
