We had guests in from out of town & decided to have lunch & brews at Brazen. We got there when they were just opening their doors & were surprised to see how many others were there at that time. To me, it was a good sign. We started with drinks. Two Charlatan IPA's (do good!), a Midnight Society Stout, and an NA beer, not sure what it was called. We all enjoyed the beers. Our entrees included burgers, shrimp, and stuffed banana pepper mac & cheese (mine). The mac & cheese was creamy with the perfect kick from the pepper. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. All of our beers and food were good, but the thing that was the topping on the cake was the service. Our server was knowledgeable about the beers, gave great suggestions on the food, and was super friendly. He was always there when we needed without being pushy. I wish I could remember his name! Our server was great! The food was delicious. We had the street corn nachos with the pork, deviled eggs, and the stinger burger. Everything was great! I tried a flight of beer, and all of them were great! The hostess we dealt with in the beginning had quite an attitude with us for no reason but maybe she was having a bad day . Overall I recommend giving this spot a try!

Oddest experience. We walked in with 4 adults and 2 kids (2 years and 3 mo). First of all the food and beers are excellent. The bartender was lovely, super accommodating and attentive. The front of house manager (I'm assuming) and hostess were super rude. We were told that we couldn't sit at a table unless we ordered 4 entrees even though the restaurant was empty (we were going to order beers and apps). So we went to the center of restaurant and had our beers on both sides of the middle service counter. We were then told by the front of the house manager we can't stand on one side and needed to move to the bar. Then a half hour or so later then tried to move us to a table and we were confused bc we thought we couldn't be at a table. But no it's a table not in main dining room some table around the counter way in the back. And then goes sorry we didn't realize it wouldn't that busy. They were NEVER busy. Then about 15 mins later he then asked if we were going to be there a while bc we can't have kids at the bar EVEN THOUGH HE MOVED US THERE. We had ordered 8 beers, 3 apps and kids had been extremely well behaved. So we decided to leave and they hand us a drink token, like at this point just comp us a beer! So weird. TLDR: beer good, food good, bartender good, hostess and front manager are wet blankets. Won't be using that beer token. Edit. Looked up laws in NYS and for children under 16 as long as child is accompanied by parent or guardian they can sit at the bar.

Atmosphere, drinks, and food were good! I was very disappointed in the hostess and staff. My wife and I, asked for a table for 6 people. A simple yes would have been a normal response, but in a rude tone the hostess said we must order food if we want a table. I responded that would be no problem, we will get apps. She answered, there will be a 2 hour max time at our table and they will boot us if there is no food at our table at any point. Remind you, this was at 3pm when there were 10 plus tables open and zero wait line.
