Worst Mac & Cheese as there was absolutely NO flavor at all with three different varieties. Was like a soggy noodle with watered down cheese. Horrible. For almost $20 per portion, very disappointed. First and last time at this location.

Sat at a high top bar table on a busy Saturday night. Watched the servers walk by me many, many times without looking at me let alone asking to take my order. Apparently these tables are to be service by the bartender who was alone behind the bar which was two people deep for most of the time I was there.So there I sat with no drink or service for at least 30 minutes, and that is a generous estimate. I had no intention of trying to cut into the bar crowd to order my food and drink. Eventually the bartender got over too me, and eventually she got back to me with a drink. She brought my food over when it was ready and I ordered one more drink which did not arrive until I was done with my meal. This part of the experience made me feel as if I did not matter. Very bad.I can't blame the bartender for the terrible service though. The establishment needs to do a better job of staffing and training its employees. At the very least, someone should have greeted me and provided me with the option to stay at that table and wait for the bartender or seat me at a table where the wait staff could provide more suitable service. Instead what I received was a wait staff who clearly intentionally avoided any sort of eye contact with me. Shameful.The food was interesting but not all that tasty. Bland. The idea of it is better than its reality. Needs improved seasoning imho.

If you are a mac and cheese lover. Cannot beat Mooney's. It's a nice place you walk in the front door, the bar is to the left. The restaurant is to the right. TVs everywhere. Great log cabin atmosphere. No I would not suggest mac and cheese everyday. yes it is extremely unhealthy for you. But no worries they have a lot of other unhealthy foods for you to choose from lol. Buffalo chicken wings. But when I go to Mooney's it's for mac and cheese. They have many flavors to choose from. I just had the stinger delicious. Chop steak chopped chicken hot sauce I don't know what kind of cheese butt cheese topped with panko bread crumbs. Another favorite Philly cheese steak mac and cheese. BLT mac and cheese. Definitely a favorite lobster mac and cheese. Many many more. So if you just want to treat yourself to some great mac and cheese a great atmosphere and good service give Mooney's a shot you will not be disappointed. But like they say if you get the large mac and cheese be hungry and ready for a nap. Good luck mac and cheese lovers.

Maybe it's because im not from here, but i dont understand the hype of it.. My husband was stern with his love for this place - "the food is amazing! I LOVE their mac and cheese!" And so on. So we went for date night. He got buffalo mac and cheese, and i got chicken tenders. Apparently, pizza logs are a huge thing in WNY?But everything that was served, aside from the drinks, seemed to be stuff you would get from your own freezer at home. This place is the definition of bar food. Which makes sense.. there is a bar section and a dining section, and like i said.. everything was something I'd find in my freezer at home but the drinks. It was my husband's turn to drink that night, so he ordered two long island ice teas and said they were great. I had a sip and can agree - it was great! But the food was sub-par. I dont get the hype behind the mac and cheese honestly ?♀️I gave the service a 4 star review, nothing fancy on her end, but she was great at her job, and her tip reflected like-so.I gave the atmosphere a 5 star review. It truly should just be a bar. But for it being where it's located, i see the idea behind trying to make it family-friendly with the dining room. Music was great, the atmosphere brought me back to when i used to drink back in my hometown small town bar - it was quite homey to me. Overall- not the worst experience, just not my cup of tea food-wise. Ill be back for the bar section though! Ill probably eat dinner at my home first THEN hop over there for a few beers next time ?

We stopped in Friday night. Came for the pulled pork but my son and I decided on the fish fry. The batter and fries were undercooked. Grease was either not hot enough or it was old. It looked good on other tables but was very disappointed.

We arrived at the restaurant at approximately 12:10PM. Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed that it smelled like sewage. The waitress took 20 minutes to get our drink order. She apologized and said that she hasn’t been there in over a year to waitress and we placed our order at the time we got our drinks. At 1:10 we left not having had our food yet.
